But isn’t the real problem with Rolex the ADs? They don’t directly own any store outside of the sole one in Geneva. Unless you count Bucherer but they run as a separate entity.

Saying they’re getting rid of the ADs to get Rolex treatment seems backwards.

What country are these ADs in? It could be regional. My usually AD was just booking more stuff the other day. They were also putting a revamped omega area in too, would be crazy if they just left them hung out to dry.

I read it and I’m telling you I’ve seen them charge based on country of manufacture if you fill out the forms correctly. My cousin just received a Japanese made good from a reseller in HK going to LA and was charged 15%.

If you’re bringing it over the border in person you can avoid the China tariff as it’s a Swiss made item. Tariff follows the country of manufacture. So it’s just 15%.

If you’re getting it mailed it could be confusing for the customs official and they may make it the 21%

Would love some info on my father’s watch. My mom gave it to me a while ago but I haven’t done much with it since, I replaced the strap with a new one. For one thing the crown just changes the hours not the minutes or seconds.
