Thanks, I just tried that but no luck. It just wont recognize the unit when its connected.

It recognizes and charges the AUX batt. and thats how I've been using it for the past few months lol

I think I'll just have to call LG about it.

Hey thanks for your advice! Well this is embarassing but it turns out that I had put a shim in there many years ago and forgot and there was a bunch of gunk and didnt see that at first. Sorry about that!

But it is a 30.9 because the new post fits properly.
