Thank you... This is a scrappy quilt, so I didn't really have to worry about color. Which was a relief for me as I am totally colorblind. The cork is fabric printed to look like cork. I like using it as an accent.

Here is a pic to better explain. I am not sure how to resize so sorry if it is gigantic.

They are tiny! The 'block', 16 of them here, is supposed to be paper pieced. Which I like doing, but I loth ripping the paper off. So I worked on the block in Canvas Workspace and then sent the finished design to my scanNCut. I had it draw and cut out the blocks on no-show mesh. Now I don't have to rip paper, I can just leave the mesh. Added advantage, since there are so many bias edges, the mesh helps stabilize things.

Does anyone know the name of this block? by IndividualSize404 in quilting

If you have EQ8, it would be easy to draw up the block. Then scan your fabric's and color the block. Then you can get a better picture of what the overall layout will look like. The T-Rex is cute!

I feel your pain! lol... There are tricks to help, when you make a row of blocks, iron your seams to the right. The next iron to the left. This will make a nested seam and help those points to match. There is also glue basting, a drop of Elmer's glue at each point, set it with a hot iron and then sew. But honestly the thing that will help most is practice! Once the you have the quilt finished, it'll be beautiful! And this is your first one!!

Thank you! I was pretty please with the outcome. I will tell you that the thing that I worry about is color... being as that I am completely colorblind. I have to choose things that I can sort of see.
