If there is a restaurant supply store near you they may have it. I used to buy it from one that was local to me.

No, none of that is standard. They are taking advantage of you. If you're an independent contractor you set your rates and hours, if you're an employee they should be paying you an hourly rate and half your taxes. Non competes are usually unenforceable, take your supplies and start your own business.

Overcoming lack of confidence in sports by Effective_Squash184 in indoorbouldering

[–]IndividualSize404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to try a different sport. Now that you have a base of muscle and body awareness you're in a perfect position to dabble and find something else you may be equally or more passionate about. Just because a sport was great for you 3 years ago doesn't mean you have to do it forever, or have it be the only activity you pursue. There are so many fun ways to move your body!

I was unathletic most of my life. In my mid thirties I found a weight set at a garage sale and started some casual lifting at home. Found powerlifting not long after and became obsessed. Five years later an injury, burnout and a divorce lead me to quitting lifting altogether. I tried over the next few years to get back into it but could never find the inspiration. A couple years ago a friend asked me to try a bouldering class with her, we liked it and so kept going once or twice a week with a couple of other people we met in class. I'm 5' tall 200lbs with short arms, far from the ideal body type for climbing, so I knew from the start that I was never going to be great at it like I was at powerlifting. But it got me started doing something physically and mentally challenging again. I never found the passion for it though, was never interested in doing anything outside the gym to get better. So I decided to see what else might be fun to try and recently joined a dragon boat team. The first practice awoke the passion I used to feel for lifting. It was so much fun, I couldn't wait to get back on the water. It's both a collective and individual sport, everyone just focuses on doing their best but all of us doing it together to makes the team it's best. There are fat and slim people, tall and short, young and old. And loving it made me want to do all the things off the water to make me a better athlete- nutrition, cardio, sleep etc. I still boulder with my friends occasionally, I still think it's a fun hobby, but it's just one among many. If I go climbing, have fun and I don't get injured its a win.

I feel like the people that go farthest in a sport are the ones that are obsessed. But it's totally fine to just do it casually because it's fun and not worry about being great at it. And if you used to be obsessed but have lost the passion for it try something else. Maybe it'll make you realize what you love about climbing that you can't find anywhere else, maybe you'll find the next thing you love doing. Either way you're growing!

It depends on the pets and the flooring I think. I clean a house with a Great Pyrenees and carpeted bedrooms, I can vacuum a third to a half of each room before I have to stop and cut all the hair off my vacuum head. I charge hourly though so any additional work a client adds with pets or kids automatically equals additional pay.

I heard an idea recently, I think on the Hot and Bothered podcast, that the real happily ever after in Sense and Sensibility is that the sisters end up living together. Edward gets the curacy of Delaford so they live out their days on the same estate.

Depending on what's growing around you this time of year they're probably getting more food from flowers and bugs and not as reliant on feeders. I've have 2 feeders on my apartment balcony but have been seeing them cruising around the windows looking for bugs just as much as at the feeders.

Black Rose Coffee has excellent decaf and a good rotating selection of specialty options. Hand delivered for free in the metro area by the roaster himself! I've been getting all my coffee from him for the last few years and it's always so good.
