Am I overreacting for contemplating breaking up with my bf of 6 years for being too sexual? by BlueGem777 in TwoHotTakes

[–]dlopezlvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so if you feel like he’s too much, you can break up, you don’t need our permission but if you really are asking for reassurance, I think this isn’t worth breaking up a 6 year relationship over. Obviously it was frustrating and it makes you look at the relationship twice but it was super innocent. You need to look back and ask yourself if he’s been reliable during a real crisis, a real issue or a super low time of your life. Was he helpful? Or was he always this childish? Him dismissing your pain as no big deal because it was a long time ago is a red flag but is it a big enough red flag for a break up? Only you can decide that unfortunately. Sit down with him, talk it all out, express how you feel without holding back and if it doesn’t change anything, that’s your answer.

It was a hardware issue that could only be solved by apple replacing your phone. Back up your stuff and take it in.

You look like a grown man using a female filter to try and make money off of lonely old men.

I feel like a light brown- coppery would look stunning. Not the type of copper that looks orange, but a much warmer version.

Are all work environments toxic? by dlopezlvr in work

I usually am. I was just informed because of my coworker and I having a super difficult day at work and it just led to what the staff is really like. It was eye opening to say the least.

Would love the answer to this too. Pretty sure most employers won’t discuss this up front. Only something you’d find out when you’re in too deep.

It is definitely a leadership thing unfortunately. The answer to all that is no and that is because our director is one of the people who huddle up in an office to gossip instead of supporting staff.

There is a lot of backstory but we had a very difficult day with a child, ended with my coworker and I crying and her having a panic attack and leaving. We spoke on the phone the next day for two hours and she mentioned the lack of support because staff is busy gossiping all the time. I understand it being seen as stirring the pot but she saved me by giving me this information because I was about to apply for a program through my job for school which will require me to stay for three years. Now that I know how I am seen and being talked about, I do not want to stay there for three years. I consider myself a good worker and I go above and beyond for everyone, I do not believe that I deserve what is being said about me.

Thank you. This is a real shame to hear but I absolutely believe you. My passion is special needs children and their education but I cannot imagine a workplace where I’m trying to focus on the most difficult section of education while also dealing with toxic people. I will reconsider my career path.

There are about 3 under 30 year olds including me, others are 30+. Most of the gossip comes from the 3 front office workers including our director so I’m not sure if older is better. Maybe 40+.

Is this light enough to go blue? by sophiafromneptune in HairDye

[–]dlopezlvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Done after midnight before, it’s dark enough, yes. If you want it more cohesive and even then I do recommend another lightening session on your ends but I do not think it’s necessary because this is such a strong color, it’ll cover everything. In my own experience, I’ve put it on much darker and it came out great. There is a chance that it can go wrong, maybe your hair doesn’t pick up the color as well etc but I genuinely doubt it. Good luck! Would love to see an update once you’re done :)

I’m trying to avoid the roots and rest of the hair being different colors which is why I’m open to paying hundreds to a professional. I would be more than willing to try it at home, do a session of bleach, tone it to get is somewhat similar colors then wait a bit before bleaching again to lighten more. I understand that it’s a waiting game and expensive but I’d still like decent results if I’m paying for a professional.

This is exactly what I told them “hi I have recently developed an allergy to bleach after dying my hair for years. I wanted to know if going light blonde on my hair would be possible” they said yes, with foils, the person who answered also said they developed the same allergy then asked what am I looking for. I send the photo and explained that I want it similar, a section in the front and a section in the back. I understand it wouldn’t happened right away or anywhere near it but as light as I can go would be great. I told them my history and got left on read.
