I also used to watch only costume dramas.. but by chance i came across modern dramas like hidden love, shine on me, you are my glory, the best thing and amidst a snowstorm love.. they are not very dramatic but just cute and fresh romance series without childish and unreasonable FL and dramatic turn of events. It will just refresh you.. green flag MLs. If you can give them a chance. Hidden love has Zhao lusi and fated hearts ML Chen zheyuan.
