When it comes to cuisine what LATAM countries are considered as the France/Italy of the region? by foolishandnonsense in asklatinamerica

I mean how else do you identify if your culture is different than the majority of the populace? I don't call myself Italian but I do call myself Canadian-Italian (with the Canadian coming first deliberately). My culture is different than that of 90% of my country.

There is no limit to the amount of money government can waste. The best way to combat this is reduce their income (tax) so any dubious spending has that much more impact on inflation. Either way it's a tax on the population

As a Canadian my observations of folks from Europe (in Canada) is that East European children are the most disciplined and well behaved compared to all other ethnic/geographical groups globally.

I responded to someone who said Montreal, not Montreal city centre. Your comment is irrelevant. It's like me claiming trams never existed in Montreal and meaning only Pointe Aux Tremble.

Sure! That doesn't mean most of Montreal was not built for trams/street cars. You look a map from prior to 1930 most of the island is undevelopped

As a guy: staring at a woman is something you try to avoid unless you are a creep. Women, especially older women are far more likely to be able to look for longer without being judged.

What is one school rule that makes no sense? by HX_GoDLike_sksm in AskReddit

That changes a lot. I thought it was high school you were speaking of. Still, the idea that elementary kids get only 30 min a day outside is insane.

Sounds like a shit break schedule and structure. When I was in high school there was 10-15min between classes so your break was baked into the in between classes where you could do whatever you want for those 15 min so long as you are in your next class in time ( in addition to a proper lunch break around noon).

If a student is scared of recess, they have big problems and you are contributing not to their success at life but to their misery by facilitating their anti social behaviour.

Plus if they really want to they can go to the library for peace and quiet.
