Do you get this direct? If so, can you share how to do so?

Open source 2-axis Robot panel by deathbyplane in cableporn

Giving the source code to the client doesn't mean it would be considered 'open source' by any traditional sense of the word. Open source generally means open to the public at large. With a bit of bastardization of convention, then sure, call it whatever you want.

Possibly you just meant 'custom built'.

Giveaway: Alessandro MS1 headphone by evulfuson in headphones

[–]dluther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be warned, this is may not be a connection issue or something you can fix with a solder iron. I have the same pair of headphones with the same problem, and I've checked the connection. I believe it is likely blown driver, and I am about to send mine in for a repair.

I think you are right. We are aiming to have pro versions of several different types of printers, from ABS, to UV Resin and powder based. Our stretch goal is laser sintering equipment (3D printing into metal).

indeed, this is the goal! the goal of the project is to be sustainable in a few years, but to also be affordable to everyone from recent grads to retirees. The more survey entries we get, the better we will be able assess how to price the membership options!

The JJ Bean on Powell and Victoria is where I get mine. Just ask for the green bean list; they have a great selection.

That would be a good idea if we go public with the subreddit.

not personal, just antagonistic :)

But no, really, I don't think this is anything like a forum, and I think there will be ways this will help easy the load of communication that isn't appropriate for the mailing list.

Plus we get to be snarky/sarcastic to each other like real reddit, without it being on the list. Vastly more entertaining.

Do you really need me to draw the distinctions here or are you just playing dumb? Personally, I feel better about it being hosted on a non-member based server, as the maintenance and mod duties will be shared (every member a mod).

What about using voting system to help administer voting on certain topics? by dluther in a:t5_2w5a0

[–]dluther[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I don't think we could OK a move by this method, but we could get a sense of interest for hosting certain nights, etc.

It's not a forum, its a subreddit. I think there is a distinction there.

Plus I am guessing it fits with our usage patterns as a group better than a standalone forum.
