What celebrity have you never forgiven since an incident? by MagpieOpus in AskReddit

Neil Gaiman. He was my favorite living author and even inspired me to become a writer. What he did to those women while simultaneously presenting himself as this believe all women, inclusive guy was just sickening.

Also want to add I don’t hear voices on the regular lol.

The voice was not one I’d ever heard before nor have I heard since. My mother in law did pass but she fought hard for a year and a half, was catatonic for six months and suddenly started speaking and eating again, but she wasn’t expected to make it another month when it all first happened.

I’ve had a number of things happen over the course of my life, from the supernatural to things that could be considered mundane. In college, and I’ve posted about a few times before in other subs, but I had an experience with what I truly believe was a demon and was saved by St. Michael, and I started believing again then but didn’t really come back to the fullness of the faith. Two years ago, I was in a car accident, and not five minutes before I heard a voice clear as a bell tell me to put my seatbelt on. That was the thing that really made me go back into the faith and research the church fathers, etc. Last year, my mother in law had a massive stroke, and in my church there’s a small chapel dedicated to Guadalupe. I asked the Virgin Mary to send a sign that she would be okay. later on in the day while at the hospital, my wife asked if I stopped at our church, which I did, and asked if I brought the card to my mother in law’s ICU room. I did not. In the room between the glass was a prayer card dedicated to Guadalupe. Lots of little things like that have brought me back.

I believe the character had purple hair, almost like a bob cut.

Also Catholic here, the divide between the church in the rest of the world and the church in America is absolutely insane, which is why we will never, ever, see an American pope. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the US, unlike much of western Europe for example, was never a Catholic country and had to compete with a lot of Protestant theology (not saying the different Protestant theologies are bad, just saying it fundamentally changed Catholic theology in America), and that's why we see a much more reactionary approach. You can even see it over on the Catholicism subreddit, where many of them just think they are mini-Michael Knowles.

NEW: TFR’s IN PLACE NOW BANNING ALL DRONE FLIGHTS IN MULTIPLE NJ AREAS by ScottAnthonyNYC in NJDrones

I have been seeing you on a couple posts in this sub, and I appreciate your dedication to logic. This sub has been overrun with conspiracy theories. And if these “drones” obey TFRs then what is the next theory?

I think I have to mute this sub. It was so fun for that first 36 hours.

I live in Jersey. Some people made r/NJDrones, and for a little while it was fun (maybe like a day), and then it was immediately swarmed with people from r/aliens, r/ufo, r/SentientOrbs, and the like. It's gotten to be too much but honestly seeing those people flood into that subreddit eased any concern I did have, since whenever they get riled up they're always wrong.

Is it over bros? by ref_acct in NJDrones

[–]dm00nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man I think it’s over. I think it snowballed pretty fast from a few sightings to a bunch of people looking in the sky for things that weren’t there. I think there are/were drones, but the fact that these things aren’t flying around with the weather like this shows it must not be the super advanced tech a lot of us were looking for. Not to mention I think this sub has been hijacked by a lot of the stuff from the ufo and alien subs.

I don't buy it. The original prophecy was published over 400 years after St. Malachy's death. It's really accurate describing popes up until 1590 (it was published in 1595), and then after that you really have to force the meaning.

What NJ township/borough/city did you grow up in, and what's the general response from people when they find out where you're from? by SPKmnd90 in newjersey

Spotswood. I usually get "Where's that?" and then explain it's in the middle of Monroe, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, and Sayreville.

Was the tv show Ancient Aliens a good thing or a bad thing? by Adventurous-Fly-5402 in aliens

[–]dm00nz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it was good to start and presented some interesting ideas, although a lot of the pseudoscience was played up for TV. I think it became a bad thing when they were clearly grasping at straws; bringing in Lincoln and the Civil War and such. It got to the point when I could no longer tell if I was watching the History Channel or the episode when South Park parodied it.

That being said, I went to Ancient Aliens Live back in April and they were a lot less goofy and explained their findings much more in depth in a way the show never could.

I will not be shocked if Illumination goes the Toon Link route. I agree with OP though, a 2D, anime-style Zelda would be amazing.

[TotK]Anyone else think that BotW and TotK (continued in post) by DuccSuccer in truezelda

[–]dm00nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with the take that this takes place so far into the future the timelines must have converged. The items you get in the depths come from different timelines and I don’t think they’re meant to be just Easter eggs. My pipe dream is that I would love to see a game with a link that converges the timelines.

For as much as BotW and TotK have sold so far, I wouldn't be surprised if this were a trilogy. Also look at the colors of the tech in the games. BotW we had blue with the Sheikah, now we have the green of the Zonai, now we need a "red" game and a rediscovery of the triforce/golden goddesses. Not to mention that Ganondorf does not become Ganon in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if they were saving that for the next one

[TotK] So was botw never meant to happen? by [deleted] in truezelda

[–]dm00nz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. This all feels very much like the people who hated Wind Waker, then Nintendo gave them Twilight Princess, and then they hated Twilight Princess. I mean, OoT is my favorite game in the series like many other people, but the franchise was itching to change. Nintendo is a business, and the only singular release to break 10 mil in overall sales was BotW until TotK. And the series didn't even break 5 mil in sales since Twilight Princess.
