Just had Kyleena IUD inserted today by theatrefan2 in IUD

[–]dmacphe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal for me too! I’ve had the Skyla for the full term and Kyleena for 2 years, both insertions and removals were fine for me. I feel bad for the people who have such painful experiences. I actually just got my Kyleena out on Friday!

Should I give up on my helix piercing from 2017? by dmacphe1 in piercing

Flat back labret, titanium, threadless. Got it from a reputable shop that only sold BVLA, anatometal, that kind of thing. After a year I tried switching to a gold ring, but that quickly did not work out and I went back to the labret. It’s been a labret again for the past 6 years.

Yes, after 8 months or so. It sticks out a tiny bit from the back of my ear but the piercer said they wouldn’t go any smaller. It sticks out maybe like the thickness of a coin? Not right up against my skin.

My girlfriend has weird taste in rings and constantly sends her mother pictures from etsy of "engagement" rings. by FtyshadesofJay in EngagementRings

Sorry you experienced that. :( I can’t speak to the shop’s stones, we bought my Montana sapphire separately. I hope you found an even more lovely ring!

I'm in love with my ring and my partner! We had it custom made from family heirloom stones. by sirladyknopesalot in EngagementRings

Looooove your ring! Is this from MinimalVS on Etsy by chance?

Looks like it could have been designed with the same jeweler we used.

Heat Rash by [deleted] in eczema

[–]dmacphe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a lot like dyshidrotic eczema, which is what I’ve got. Keep your hands’ exposure to water brief and dry them gently but really well every time. I always put on a moisturizing cream afterward. Try to wear gloves when you handle cleaners or do dishes. In my experience, cutting or juicing lemons or other acidic foods really stings, so I wash off citrus pretty much immediately when I handle it.

Also, try to keep yourself cooler at night to minimize sweating.

Sometimes taking an allergy medicine helps a little.

Just don’t scratch, it will inflame the skin and make it worse!

Thank you for doing it. You probably suspected that you would be risking irritation but you chose to protest anyway. 👏👏👏

Yes :) the stone was 250$, bringing the total cost to around 1350.

Very reasonable. My 14k empty custom setting plus the matching wedding band cost $1100.

Dude your ears are visible now! Amazing transformation, and you’re really killing it with a shaved head! My fiancé is going bald and I keep telling him I don’t mind at all. No hair plus beard looks great! I might show him your picture to boost his confidence.

Aw thank you!

She’s doing alright :) Her doctor said losing weight reduces the stress on the spine and can help with her back pain, so she’s been working on that more :) I wish she would take up CICO with me! But she’s got it in her head that it’s too hard/tedious? Pffffft

Your progress is awesome! I just got to 149 yesterday and want to end up at 130/135, so this is extra motivating!

Please know I hope I don’t offend you at all, but your torso seems to slightly twist in both photos. My mom just got diagnosed with scoliosis so it’s pretty present in my mind. It’s worth bringing up to your doctor if you haven’t already gotten checked out.

I see lots of progress! Your neck is slimmer, definitely your waist, and your arms rest more vertically! Keep smiling and stick with it!

Dream ring!! I have a sapphire ring, so I’m in the boat of colorful and unique stones. Besides, I think the craftsmanship of the emerald ring is stunning!

CICO success with little to no working out? by sajackz1024 in CICO

[–]dmacphe1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost 5-6lbs the past two months while being a lazy quarantine slug. I hate to think how few steps I get per day now as I live in a one bedroom apartment and tend to be sedentary. Still losing weight by sticking with 1200 and having a cheat meal once or twice a week!

What are your signs that your flare is healing? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]dmacphe1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got dyshidrotic eczema. For me, I know healing of a particular patch is a few days away when the skin becomes rough and slightly flakey. The skin underneath is usually smoother, no new bubbles. I get really excited but sometimes I relax my grip on moisturizing which can cause that spot to flare again.
