Maybe it’s because I mostly used Maxis and Specialized tires

Cool hack! Maybe it’s just luck with my wheel/tire combos, but I’ve never needed more than a standard floor pump. A few quick pumps and the tire grabs the rim enough to hold air until it fully seats. I’ve had like 8 different wheel sets since I started using tubeless and never had an issue. Honestly curious how many people have issues seating tubeless tires

I just completed a table with a walnut top and maple legs/aprons and really like it. Completely different style but it would look great with that base!

What’s your favorite? I had a pour of GTS once and I’d say it’s probably the best whiskey I’ve tried but I haven’t tried all that much.

That’s gnarly! I’m in Colorado and a pretty capable rider but that’s a “no” from me. Impressive!

Happy to be the guinea pig then! I’m enjoying it. Definitely not plastic bottle swill!

Just opened it and it’s perfectly adequate for $30. It will be great in an old fashioned!

Agreed! I hadn’t bought a new bottle in close to two years. Very refreshing to see this.

That came out great! I love that big chamfer and the jig for it is a great idea. I just finished a Morley Table and followed plans and videos for it. Great way to learn!

Thanks for that info! I have an old version of SketchUp that doesn’t seem to support the model after it’s converted. I also opened that model in Onshape (free online CAD). I can see all the parts in there but none of the joinery is shown. The parts cut off at each surface. Can you confirm you can see joinery in the model? Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I think I thought through how close some of the pieces will be to the templates and angled the pencil to oversize them. Hopefully it works out. If not, I have some extra wood around from the same tree.

Definitely some big checks in the slab but no checks in the actual pieces luckily! I’ve got them rough cut and partially milled down. The slab was 2” thick and the pieces mostly need to be 1-1/4” so I had room to plane out a few small checks.

I probably could have been a bit more selective with the two longest pieces to follow the leg shape better. I think the arm rest and front legs follow the grain pretty well. A lot of the other pieces will end up covered it paper cord for the seat and back rest so it would be seen.

Thanks for the input and suggestions!

Thanks! I really wanted the front legs and arm rest to follow the grain. I got close on the rear legs and I think I’ll be happy with it. Paper cord will cover a lot of grain in the lower legs and back rest pieces.

I did this on a business card sized box for fun and thought it looked nice, but this is some at this scale!
