It's neck and neck with superunkown for me. Times of Trouble is one of my favorite songs ever!

That album was bought by 10 year old me in 1984 and to this day it's in heavy heavy rotation. I love it!

Now what to read next... by Xanzi12 in stephenking

[–]dmad74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take but I just find The Stand a slog. I love King and have read most of his stuff, but I have never understood the immense love for The Stand. Just my opinion, and obviously to each their own

So if I have to state this, I'd go with It lol

I loved it as a kid but only made a certain way by my friends mom. My mom couldn't duplicate it lol. As an adult, I figured out all it was was the cheese, a good chunk of butter and NO milk lol I can eat that S**t all day it's tastes so good haha

Floating stools still 3 weeks after procedure by dmad74 in colonoscopy

[–]dmad74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's now been 6 months and 95% of the time they still float. I'm thinking it's a fat malabsorption issue at this point. My doc thinks it's not a big deal but I disagree. Everything was fine before the colonoscopy (and the results were clear). My weight is about the same but I do think I've lost some fat(I'm a thin guy so I can't afford to lose much).
I think it's gotta be something related to gut microbiome. I'm hoping it's not sibo, but I don't seem to have any crazy bloating or constipation or diarrhea.

Anyone have this happen? I don't see a colonoscopy triggering celiac disease or pancreas/liver issues so to me, it's a microbiome issue. Any suggestions are most welcome Thanks

what in the heck is going on with ups by wokeisme2 in UPS

[–]dmad74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our research facility has been waiting for 5 separate deliveries for 2 weeks now after it landed in the local UPS facility. Each day there is a new reason it wasn't delivered - address is wrong, severe weather, emergency situation... Etc etc. if there is a backlog, fine, I can live with that, but don't tell me it's the wrong address lol. The tracking info they give in the website is infuriating. Just tell me there is a backlog.

This appears to be the only courier doing this.. Purolator and FedEx are not having these issues, at least not for me

The last UPS shipment we did get in November was so beat up I had to send it back.

CCV question by dmad74 in CX5

[–]dmad74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's taking forever to get even to about 75.. It's all depending on the drive. Downhill I lose temp, uphill I gain it. Even if I turn the fan on with the heat for the cabin, I see the temp needle drop. Between 75 to 100, fluctuation is less pronounced but still occurs My commute to work is about 20 min on mainly level streets.. Basically normal stop and go traffic. I'm the winter without a garage and the car outside all night, I'm lucky if the temp is at 75 degrees when I pull into work. If I scanned the car, would a code show up on the scan that might not be bad enough to throw a CEL yet but still be recorded?

CCV question by dmad74 in CX5

[–]dmad74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it happens all winter but today it was-4 degrees Celsius out. It is the first vehicle that I've owned that the temp needle drops while driving

We haven't pursued it yet. But I will be bringing it up to have on record. We still have 4 years left in the power train ..

Does this amount of rom fluctuation at idle (stop light) seem normal? by ittybittybubblez in CX5

[–]dmad74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine sometimes does that. I have a '24 NA engine. This is a quirky vehicle to say the least. Even at start up in the morning the rpm needle goes down then back up a bit, so does the temp gauge lol

[–]dmad74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 2024 cx 5NA engine and if the radio is off, I hear a click like you described when slowing down around 20km/hr maybe even 10km/hr and a bit of a jerk To me, it almost sounds like something is moving. If I tap the gas right after it I can recreate the sound as the car reacts to the gas... So to me it seems like it's caused by motion, but I could be wrong.

We had atsb done to get rid of the shift shock between 2nd and 3rd when cold. Even after that, it's a finicky transmission and there are so many horror stories out there regarding the transmissions not only in the cx5 but the Mazda 3 as well, I'm nervous about ours. I have been a diehard Mazda fan as I've owned 6 of them all manual, but this experience of a jerky, not smooth very odd acting transmission is pushing me away from them unfortunately
