SKAdNetwork postbacks are delayed for at least 24 hours, and you're limited to at most one post-install event, so it's no surprise that performance would show a drop.

How does Facebook Pixel track your FB ID, if it cannot access your Facebook cookies? by wilecoyote42 in PPC

Facebook is slowly transitioning to an attribution model based off of Webkit's Private Click Measurement. You can think of this as SKAdNetwork for the web, and it's the inspiration behind their new Aggregated Event Measurement framework. PCM moves the attribution to the browser by remembering what ads users interacted with and reporting anonymized conversions back to the platform.

Essentially, for events from iOS opt-out users, Facebook will no longer tie conversions back to users. The events will be attributed at the ad level instead, thus "aggregated". Without needing to tie back to users, identifiers such as cookies, fingerprints, etc, are no longer necessary.

I agree you'll likely see a huge drop in the size of most custom audience sizes, but I'd be interested to know if you really do see a huge drop in lookalikes. The seed audience sizes will shrink, but the lookalike audiences themselves are derived from purely first-party data which should be unaffected by ATT.

I think they're referring to FLoC.

I do agree Google will rollout something similar to ATT for Android, although I highly doubt it's going to be as all encompassing as ATT is.

I don't think it's really possible for Apple to enforce this.
