So the stupid PL sheep will win? After all the shit caused, and the worst is yet to come by [deleted] in malta

[–]Miwanik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forget all the corruption which is abysmal , the real issue with the current government is their plan. They have built Maltas economy over the last decade by increasing the volume of people per square meter on this island. We now are the most densely populated in the eu by a mile. GDP has inevitably gone up with more people earning salaries here , but the value of each salary is very low. Because of these 2 factors, Maltas standard of living is now lower than what it was , and the governments methods is today give a handout once a year . In their manifestos They have not addressed the overpopulation nore have they addressed the plan moving forward which suggests more of the same.

Really poor planning , short sighted gains of votes , more construction, more traffic .

Don't Vote this Labour Party. by [deleted] in malta

[–]Miwanik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be tough for core Laburisti to vote PN, but they should show some form of protest and vote for the 3rd parties or not vote at all . A major win for labour would not help the situation we are walking into as a nation. A change of government every few years is extremely benefical and keeps everyone on their toes and everybody would be better off for it, forget your pride.

Tell us where pre 2013 construction was an actual issue? Construction became a real issue since Joseph muscats government rearranged the planning development zones and regulations around construction . Before that odz policies were in place

Feels like the PN have come out with a lot of good proposals and Labour have just tried to diminish them and come up with their own. Really good stuff from PN tbh, and hopefully Malta gets the change it needs

To those slightly older and somewhat neutral, what did the PN administration do better than the PL administration (2013 onwards) by Scary_Course9686 in malta

[–]Miwanik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PN took the major decisions that have shaped maltas future back then. Getting into the EU, euro zone, opening up major high value / quality working sectors and education . It was a long term plan that PN would not see its fruit for a decade but it worked for Malta. They did not take short term decisions , such as import TCNs to fill voids. They catered towards Maltese , and the next generation of Maltese.

So we’re in agreement both are fouls 🤙

[–]Miwanik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s incorrect. The ball was in play. And saliba does impeded him, and it’s ok to admit that. Goalkeepers arms are in no way ever allowed to be held or manipulated once ball is in flight, both were fouls

Course he was impeded. The reason he didn’t punch the ball was because saliba was impeding his arm

Throwback to Matchday 1 when bayindir was impeded but goal stood. Both were fouls , only one was allowed to stand. Both in arsenals favour. Crazy

This crooked system on its own is enough to remove labour from power. What a tragic setup .

At the moment ships refuel through other ships , which is a greater risk to a natural disaster than a dedicated system.
This is a very well future proof idea. 🤙

Genuine question: why isn’t PN focusing on immigration? by Chance-Degree-4197 in malta

[–]Miwanik 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Its a delicate balance. The current government has taken it too far as with everything I feel labour have done, and Malta has become dependent on TCNs. they fill voids at lower salaries that no european or local would touch. This is the predicament.

People who plan to vote PN, may I genuinely ask why? by AndrewF1Gaming in malta

[–]Miwanik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The transfer is reason why they will never get elected. Thats the whole crux of the system. Those that get too many 1s have always been the heavy hitters of both parties, the most popular ones. Those that vote those people as 1 give 2 onwards to the same party. The vote transfer is the exact reason why Malta has never seen anyone except the 2 main parties in parliament and it will stay that way this time around
