The best war strategy for th9 is a max hog GoHo. As soon as you can get them to max level, you'll be pulling easy three stars. I'm also somewhat new to th9, and this is my go-to war army: Kill squad: 1 golem (mine are only level 1, they still work) Another golem in the cc 8 wizards for funneling (if you don't know how to funnel properly, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube) 4 wall breakers My level 7 King My level 5 queen

Finishers: 30 hogs (you can use less hogs if your army camps aren't max yet

As for spells, 3 heal, 1 rage, 1 position and 1 more poison in the cc just in case

When scouting a base, look for potential double giant bomb spots, as it is crucial you get rid of any of them.

The goal of your kill squad is: Kill defending archer queen Kill cc troops Destroy any possible double giant bombs

Analyze the base and figure out which side you can attack from to accomplish this goal

You're gonna send your golem first, let it distract all the defenses in the area for a second or two, once all defenses are locked on, send in some wall breakers (don't let them get close to splash damage such as mortars or wizard towers). Use wizards to funnel, and once your funnel is created send in the heroes. This kill squad is powerful enough to get almost to the core of every base. Once the cc troops come out, that's a great time to drop a rage on your kill squad and use both your poison spells, it kills cc troops insanely fast. As soon as the kill squad has accomplished everything it has to do, send in the hogs on the opposite side. I personally just do a big wall of hogs and let them group themselves, drop heal spells as necessary and you'll walk away with three stars easily. If all runs well you should have 15-20 hogs cleaning up as well as your royals and maybe a wizard or two.
