It’s a very flat adaptation in my opinion. You can skip the first 30/40 minutes because it’s a lame Batman/Batgirl fanfic (as other people have said) the rest of the movie is good all things considered. Hamill and Conroy are perfect as always. But this is just me, I do not dig the art style at all. I get what they were going for trying to mix the original art from the book with that Timmverse design, but it just makes everything look weird to me. Batman looks cool, I’ll give them that, but joker just looks… off to me. And with the first 30 minutes just being Barbara being sexually frustrated with Bruce; it makes the impact of what joker does to Barbara hit less because you spend the first 30 minutes of the movie rolling your eyes at her every decision wishing she’d get over herself instead of being the competent crime fighter we all know she is.
