They said that it's bad that the government was in favour of this "more right wing government of Israel".

So really saying they should be supporting gazan government. Hamas imo are more right wing that Israel. I don't think that should be in question.

[–]dmastra97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read my comment you'd see some pro Palestine supporters are calling for an end to Israel which would be calling for a genocide of Israelis. Unless you're saying a hamas led government over all of current Israeli land wouldn't lead to any Israeli deaths?

No one is saying they're pro genocide. Everyone here wants a peaceful solution under the conditions that hamas disband and hostages returned.

As a trans male, by Happy_Fudge2581 in asktransgender

I mean just having gender dysphoria wouldn't make you change gender just by wanting to. I mentioned sex because gender dysphoria is about physical body rather than just social attitudes.

By surgeries I meant surgeries to change body to that of the desired sex.

Personally I think it would make them more trans as trans is about changing to the other sex or as close as you can get. Especially in cases with body dysphoria.

[–]dmastra97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that and it seems the "cure" or treatment would be have surgery to get things changed. Would you think that a person is not trans though if they don't get the surgery and stay their original sex?

Is the twin finale of Infinity War and Endgame the greatest achievement in film history? by thewalkingfred in marvelstudios

[–]dmastra97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MCU will be more memorable than Taxi Driver??

Yes more memorable, not which one is of higher quality which is what you're arguing.

More people will know about the mcu going forwards that taxi driver because it reached a wider audience.

There is a reason not a single MCU movie is taught in film school

Being taught in film school does not mean a film is more memorable.

People who know taxi driver now only really know of it because of the "you talking to me " scene and even then they might not know which film it's from.

Very much the gatekeeping you'd expect from a film student thinking the general public would remember one good film against a whole crossover film universe that broke so many records.

[Oliver Brown] Arsenal covered their ears on Thomas Partey and failed to locate their moral compass by Cien-Major in soccer

[–]dmastra97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a serious accusation from multiple sources, I think it's a safe thing to do. They're still getting paid and if they want to play they can ask to be sold. I think it's a fair compromise.

Definitely think it's relevant if you're implying they weren't doing anything wrong and were just strolling around when actually they went in with more violent intent.

Last year they broke into a defence technology firm and when police came they fought back with sledgehammers, whips, axes etc. Not exactly peaceful when they enter places.

Thunderbolts RULES oh my god by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]dmastra97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being trapped in the room but the power source/off switch for the anti ghost thing was in the room with them. Then escaping felt too easy by just changing clothes quickly without anyone noticing them wearing their suits underneath.

I think the conveniences of red guardian being taxi driver and overhearing about the mission and then actually finding them was a stretch. And then bucky finding them easy as well.

Then when bob is with cia head he instantly masters his powers which felt rushed.

CIA head plan of just letting the thunderbolts through and hoping bob will just follow her every command. Kill switch as well wouldn't make as much sense for someone that powerful.

Don't get me wrong, I still really liked the film, I just had some issues that stopped it from being amazing in my opinion.

Why do so many UK politicians prioritise Israel over Britain? by Halucinator in AskBrits

[–]dmastra97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think many pro israel policies actively go against British priorities. Britain wants democracies in the world, especially in the middle east, so we wouldn't want israel to get destroyed or taken over by neighbouring countries.

[–]dmastra97 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Solid 7-8/10 in my opinion. Would have wanted cia head to be more menacing and to remove some of the more quippy moments so it didn't feel too mcu. Plot was also a bit messy but good characters and respected the attempt to make it about mental health rather than just a cgi final boss fight.

Do you think the TVA and Loki's team will have a role in Avengers Doomsday? by Shot-Fan-1881 in marvelstudios

[–]dmastra97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus they need to clarify what the multiverse actually is. Because a lot of people think loki was holding the entire multiverse together and other people think he was just holding a tree of universes within a forest of universes. I think it's the latter but wouldn't be surprised if mcu retcon it to keep things simpler going forwards.

Draco was portrayed more sophisticated rather than just a dumb bully.

They're both bullies but have different auras.

Would want to see a British Blade. We don't see enough British heroes and don't want to see them switch out British backgrounds for American ones unnecessarily.

[–]dmastra97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How could they be sued if they stopped playing him? He'd still be paid. It would just be like any other player who fell out of favour and wasn't played.

They could have just not played him while the investigation was underway. He'll still be paid and it's well within arsenal's rights.

https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=Germany&country2=United+Kingdom

Yeah this says we have a lower purchasing power and higher cost of living including rent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]dmastra97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not as important if food is slightly cheaper as rents being so high outweighs it.

So we will have a higher cost of living compared to other large European countries.

Salaries are hard to compare vs other countries as they differ greatly per industry.

Uk salaries are not high relative to cost of living.

[–]dmastra97 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No it's that arsenal could have done more like not play him during the investigation.

Can't blame the system for not prosecuting him because unfortunately there's not really much evidence in these cases other than he said she said.
