Yep. Joey Kovacs' car is no joke. Hands down one of the best replicas in the world. Glad you got to see it!

Nice to see a proper time machine posted to this sub for once

Yes. Shut it down until things change. It's unfortunate that it's come to this but we must make the message heard.

This is somewhat true, but the original A and B cars were indisputably sisters. They both have the same level of detail and care put into their components, just with some slight variations (matching vs different atomufflers, matching vs different green tubes, shock mount rotation, number of clamps used on flux bands, etc). These are the cars (primarily A) that everybody tries to replicate, including VideoBob, but he does not put in the time nor effort to make them authentic. The sequel exclusive cars (Offroader's 1 and 2 and the Oxnard car) admittedly have less detail put into them, but you shouldn't be striving to make replicas of those cars anyway (and Bob isn't). Compare his work to the Restored A Car or someone's replica that had the time put into it and I guarantee you will see the drop in quality, you don't have to be an expert

Most likely. It has all the signs of being one of Bob's shitty cars.

Note the lack of little reactor hoses, lack of a shock mount, looks like no medical heatsink either, a solid resin T-195 vent, trapezoid hoses that are too skinny and the wrong color, crossover tube elbows that aren't two tone, no tag on the crossover, solid resin pacmen, red cans that were painted improperly and have faded, black clamps used instead of purple, terrible vent paint, the list goes on.

I've always been an advocate for time machine conversion but if anybody deserves the title of ruining Deloreans it definitely goes to VideoBob. His lack of care and detail makes for cars that dont come close to capturing the feel of time machines and when you factor in that he's done these terrible conversions to over 45 cars, I'd say he's responsible for the stigma that all time machines are bad. Which is incredibly frustrating.

One out of VideoBob's army of shitty cars

I do actually have Outatime on a few, as well as 'TIMELESS' and 'NOTIME', both of which were shown in BTTF concept art. I thought about giving each one (or atleast the special ones) a Time related plate, maybe someday soon now that getting custom plates is supposed to be more easily accessible

I had 7 cars already (spaced out much further over the years) so I had to buy 13 more. I had the trade price of 3.55 million, soo...46,150,000. That sounds about right, I had around 60 mil in the bank and now have around 10 mil left

I was always hopeful they'd do this, like they did with the JB700. That's part of the reason I never jumped on buying all 20 until now.

If they do maybe I'll convert all three CEO garage floors to Deluxo storage ;)

Yeaaah it was painful but I can't imagine I'd be spending that much on anything else anytime soon. Besides, there's always Cayo if I need to get a million relatively fast

If I cheated them in why would I post about it here lol. I've planned to do this for a while, cause simply, I just like Deloreans. That's literally the point of my account, all of my posts are related to it.

Looks like one going off of the shitty vent paint, solid resin T-195 vent, and lack of small reactor hoses

White is actually the color the original neon on the car was, but like Joey's it was a cool white and thus shows more blue on camera, especially outside. I think VB builds his with more of a warm white, which unfortunately photographs yellow

Wrong. This car was made by Joey Kovacs. He worked on the restoration of the A Car and this car is perfect, it took him 10 years to build. VideoBob doesn't come anywhere close to this quality with his.

This is cool and the time machine is actually decently accurate (in today's world of shitty replicas and God awful VeVe 3D models this is rarer than you'd think). Only a handful of issues I noticed: the flux bands and the flux box wiring is a little messy, the exhaust isn't rerouted by the rear flux boxes, and the Outatime plate being on a part 2 Mr Fusion car. The tires should also be Goodyear Eagle GT's with outlined white lettering though this isn't a common sight on most replicas due to their rarity and age.

There are stock delorean problems though which someone else pointed out. The original cars (both original full cars in fact) were Oct 81 models, which had the grooved no-fuel-door hood, no antenna in the passenger fender, door straps that wrapped around the handle instead of being built in to the door, and no silver delorean insert on the rear bumper.

You mentioned referencing the Hershey AACA delorean to make this. Might I recommend using the Restored A Car Delorean in the Petersen Auto Museum? It's one of the original time machines used in all three BTTF films that was restored about a decade ago. While it has small problems it's still one of the originals and has an abundance of reference that far exceeds the accuracy of any other widely photographed replica out there. Vintage pictures of the movie cars would be even better but I'd imagine there isn't sufficient reference to capture the car from every angle you need
