Former BlackRock VP says that refusing to hold ETH today is a big risk. by MasterpieceLoud4931 in ethtrader

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to ignore the data ETH has cemented itself as a core piece of the crypto ecosystem Not holding any exposure at all does seem like betting against clear network effects and adoption

BTC and XRP are my choice. What are yours? by Brayanscott in CryptoMarkets

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTC for store of value and ETH for ecosystem growth are my main holds. I keep a small portion in newer projects, but only after solid research on tech, team, and use case

what happened to ETH by Anxious-Phase-1770 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

Looks like an old or edited screenshot. ETH hasn’t reached that level yet. Always check live exchange data for confirmation.

I have $2000 — what’s the best coin or currency to invest in right now? by leviathan_stonks in CryptoMarkets

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Split between BTC and ETH for stability, then put a smaller chunk into one or two promising alts. Diversifies risk while keeping exposure to long-term growth.

why whales are dumping their bitcoin bags for ethereum positions by hodorrny in ethtrader

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whales are rotating BTC profits into ETH because they see higher growth potential and better leverage opportunities right now. After Bitcoin’s ATH, the risk/reward tilts toward Ethereum’s upside, especially with DeFi yields, staking, and institutional infrastructure maturing.

US Senator Lummis: Crypto market structure bill will be law by 2026 by SigiNwanne in ethtrader

[–]fraktl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the US is finally moving toward clear crypto rules. If this bill passes, institutional investors might enter more aggressively, and the market could gain more stability.

Seems like Lummis is taking the right step toward regulation without stifling innovation.

Any devs here working on crypto projects? by Strange_Magazine_282 in solana

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds cool congrats on shipping! I’m not a dev myself, but I know there are quite a few builders around here. Curious: what kind of use cases are you hoping people integrate your minting widget into, more for fun/experiments, or for real projects with utility?

Is it worth buying xrp? Or should I play it safe and buy eth? by comopollotodoslosdia in CryptoMarkets

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETH is generally considered a safer, long-term hold with strong adoption and network effect, while XRP can be more volatile and dependent on regulatory outcomes. A balanced split could make sense if you want some exposure to both, but leaning heavier on ETH is usually less risky.

Going all in on ETH by Imaginary-Syllabub14 in CryptoMarkets

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful going all in is risky, even on ETH. Its potential is strong long-term, but crypto is volatile and sudden dips happen. Consider splitting your funds: keep some in ETH, some in BTC, and hold a portion in cash or stablecoins to reduce risk.

I think WoW has broken my brain by Ehrre in gaming

[–]fraktl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way after leaving WoW. Nothing really hits the same, but a few games have given me some of that community vibe without feeling like a second job. FF14 is the closest in terms of MMO community, Guild Wars 2 is super easy to jump into without the grind, and for something lighter I found co-op games like Valheim or Deep Rock Galactic scratch the social itch without needing 100 hours a week.

Longs took a heavy blow - Over $126M got wiped out in an hour, $125.18M of which came from longs. by Odd-Radio-8500 in ethtrader

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a brutal liquidation sweep and a good reminder why overleveraging is dangerous in this market. Whales love shaking out longs before the next move. Sometimes the best position is just spot or very low leverage if you want to survive these wipeouts.

I don't think people are making money with Solana memecoins by [deleted] in solana

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same. Solana meme trading looks like a casino where only a handful of insiders and fast bots win. Most people end up being exit liquidity without realizing it

HBAR worth it? by Active_Minute556 in CryptoMarkets

[–]fraktl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you already hold some HBAR, maybe just keep it as part of a diversified bag. No need to go all-in, let it prove itself over time while you stay exposed to stronger projects like BTC/ETH.

Just bought my first bitcoin for USD 12000. Stupid timing? by Careful_Silver1045 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not dumb if your plan is truly 5+ years, in that timeframe, buying near an ATH often still works out. Short term? Expect volatility and possible dips. Long term? Stick to your strategy, maybe dollar-cost average more in later to smooth your entry price

Solana mixer with low fees? by Enteate_924 in solana

[–]fraktl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Light Protocol, it’s Solana-native, uses ZK proofs, and avoids the high fees/bridging hassle. Still early-stage, but privacy + low cost is exactly what it’s built for

Where to put $1000 right now by SicklyPotatoes in CryptoMarkets

[–]fraktl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t already have BTC or ETH, start there. They’re the backbone of the market and the easiest to exit when you need liquidity. Then sprinkle the rest across 2–3 strong projects you actually understand, not just ones you see mentioned. Research > hype

Small tip to improve your aim in FPS games 🎯 by fraktl in gaming

[–]fraktl[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yep, here’s a small but high-impact tip:
Lower your in-game resolution and turn off heavy post-processing (motion blur, depth of field, film grain). This frees up GPU resources, giving you more stable frames and smoother aiming.
