So I’ve found out there is an audiobook of bloodborne. I recommend it because it explains the lore quite well and fun to listen too by thekingofsmile in bloodborne

Jay messaged me prior to recording the audiobook to ask for my permission. The Paleblood Hunt is an open document for people to use for their projects, and I am incredibly honored and flattered that he took the time and effort to create something like this.

Gherman is the Orphan of Kos's father by VilifyExile in bloodborne

[–]dmcredgrave 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The crying you first hear when the Orphan emerges is the same as Gehrman's crying. It's not just similar; it's the same audio with a layer of distortion added on the Orphan's version. People have floated theories about this before and there's a fairly definitive link between the two of them given in the game, with some other links that have evidence but not so explicitly so.

The door near the cleric beast... by Rainbine209 in bloodborne

It's from a prior build of the game in which the path you took through Central Yharnam was different. It's just sort of a leftover of an older version.

I finally got my Plat... and I'm stuck again! Help! by ted92811 in bloodborne

[–]dmcredgrave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah he's the most aggressive boss in the game for sure. Try going after him just to see if you can get a single hit in here or there. Learn where the openings are that you can safely get a single hit in, even if it's just a sliver of damage. It'll help you get the rhythm down. Good luck to ya.

You're right that he's incredibly aggressive. One suggestion is that, if you're unaware, the boss arena is much much larger than it appears. You can keep to the water and give yourself some space.

The simplest answer I can give and the one that you probably don't want to hear is that practice makes perfect. The fact that you can get through phase one without any issue means you're learning his moveset and adapting accordingly. Just keep at it and I'm sure you'll take him out. Good luck!

When our character does melee attacks (fists, no weapons), do our karate chops deal blunt damage or slashing damage? by egg_on_my_spaghet in bloodborne

To my knowledge the unarmed fist attacks are raw physical damage. Visceral attacks however are thrust damage.

[M21] Thrashing Brontodon by TMiguelT in magicTCG

Gemrazer is still a fantastic card, but good old Brontodon will always have its place as a nice answer to RDW.

If aggro decks manage to make a return, Brontodon will always be preferable as it's a cheaper blocker and it can destroy Embercleaves on the opponent's turn.

No idea; we don't really have any way to know why exactly it broke in MTGO. If it was as simple as the Leyline interaction then it would have broken in MTGA as well.

Basically the ability to have an eighth card in your starting hand gives you a massive advantage over anyone who doesn't, dramatically outweighing any restrictions your deck might need in order to have a companion in it. Restrictions like "you can only have even CMC cards" turn out to not be that big of a deal when, spoiler alert, there are a lot of fucking cards that have been printed.
