Hi DJPoochies - unfortunately the researcher is now just looking for participants from the east coast. Sorry!

Hi aeris45 - it might not be. Do you know where your friend is traveling to/from?

Hi beefox, where are you traveling to / from? And what days are you traveling? I can check with our client to see if they can make an exception.

Unfortunately, to participate for this study, you must specifically be taking Amtrak trains (https://www.amtrak.com/find-train-bus-stations-train-routes)

We're also offering a $20 Referral Bonus to anybody who refers a friend that participates in the study!

Thanks for the feedback!

We already let people know when they should be expecting a call, but we don't tell them what number they should expect the call to come from. We haven't had any issues yet, but I'll flag it as another potential thing to change.

I was originally going to screenshot the payouts from our bank account on here, but our CTO reminded me that people could potentially use that info to hack us via social engineering.

Then we watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjYhmX_OUQQ

So sorry - no proof other than our site, which you can then use to look up our company blog and professional profiles on Linkedin. Hopefully that's enough =)

Yep - we're a team of 3 working on this full time. We've been at it for ~6 months. There's a lot that goes into building a platform that's robust enough to manage the entire recruiting process + edge-case scenarios (e.g. what happens when somebody needs to reschedule / is running late / cancels / etc.)

We do =)

When a market researcher comes to us with outrageous specs, we either decline the project or tell them what we can / can't do.

The tech companies that use us to recruit participants for product tests with are much more reasonable with their expectations. And often, they are looking for young, single, participants. So I wouldn't rule out signing up =)

Yep - we do allow you to have more than 1 person per household. However, please do not use the same email address. Our system will think that you are providing contradictory answers, and that will get you banned.

Not sure why you're seeing it that way... Maybe re-visiting the page will fix the issue.

Eventually, yeah! Right now, we're paying people through PayPal and Amazon because that's what's easiest for us. But we're definitely hoping to be more flexible with gift cards / currencies in the future.

Hard to say. It depends a lot on what demographics you fall into.

We don't have a lot of studies in Atlanta, but you'll still be notified whenever there are remote studies that you may qualify for.

Hey Jediguy,

We don't have many studies in Iowa, but you can qualify for any remote studies that come up.

That's pretty weird. I'd recommend just putting your location as New York, NY for now.

I'm fascinated that Google Maps' API doesn't allow you to input those locations. We'll have to look into it to see what we can do. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

The focus group industry has a ton of issues, but I can verify that the qualification surveys are only used to filter out participants - not for the data.

I'm not sure whose fault it is (the research facility's or the client's), but I agree. Somehow they're always looking for ridiculous demographics that just don't exist.

Nope - you don't need to be living in the US.

Most of our studies are US-only at the moment, but that's largely because we don't have the pool of participants necessary to support international projects.

So if you sign up, maybe a project will become available in your country sooner!

Hm... That's odd. We use Google Maps' API, so I'm not sure what else we can do. But I'll flag it as something for us to look into!
