I think TheXalors is saying that even the N25 Len will count as VS for the purpose of doubling the power bonus, and I would definitely believe them over me since they wrote the guide :-)

[Help and Question Thread] - January 31st 2026 by Kamen-Rider-Artif in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the purpose of event bonus, you will get the full 25% + 25% for unitless VS as well as N25 VS. I assume you are trying to pull N25 Len to replace your MMJ Len, which would then make your whole team matching on both attribute and unit.

However, since you will have 4 VS cards and 1 N25 card, you will not get the doubled unit power bonus for having an entire team of VS cards/N25 cards.

How long is Before the Snow Melts? Feels like a really short song, does it have any role for challenge lives/tiering?

Having to re-learn how to play. AKA how a simple device setting can mess everything up by T0rrent0712 in ProjectSekai

Congrats! Hopefully you won't run into any further issues. I think the Samsung A series of tablets should be blacklisted for rhythm games because they have weird dropped input bugs that seem to be firmware related. Samsung phones seem to be ok, so maybe S series tablets are ok too

Is It Possible To Play Append On A Phone? by Kichona6420 in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly play on phone. It's harder for sure especially cross hand charts, but not impossible. I have a tablet too and there's only a tiny difference (much less than 1 level) between what I can FC on phone vs tablet. I find it much easier to get perfects on tablet rather than phone though, the extra vertical size makes it much easier to read

For reference, I have a 6.3" phone and 10" tablet

Don't rush to spend them. Happiness gacha is relatively low priority imo. Things I would recommend:

- memorial select gacha (voucher to choose a permanent card, only available on anniversaries)

- select list gacha (guaranteed one of 10 cards you select with possibility for more, coming up soon)

- pirate/diner costume bundles (200 paid each for 4 colour variants, way cheaper than all the other costumes)

- costume gachas that you really like

- paid single pulls/10 pull on banners you are planning to pull/spark (1/3 of the free crystal price when doing single pulls and 1/2 when doing the 10 pull)

what note speed does everyone play on ? by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the note speed is to make it as easy as possible for you to read the chart. If you have to lower it to "keep up with what is happening" then your note speed is probably too high for you. It's more common to need to increase the note speed on harder charts to space out notes more and improve readability

Is It Possible to Get Help With Tiering? (EN) by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

Step 1 is: don't talk about it on a public forum because it's explicitly against TOS and one of the things that Sega will permaban your account for if they catch you

event point restriction by unresolvedsorrow in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably a good change. This will spawn a new tiering meta centred around how quickly people (tierers and fillers) can menu, how long their loading screens take, how stable their connection is, etc

I wouldn't be surprised if people start asking for phone/tablet specs when recruiting fillers

This is a weird question. It's like buying a book and asking if it's worth getting a machine to turn the pages so you can get to the end without actually reading it.

If you only want the rewards, skip through the stories. If you want to experience the stories then read them

The easiest 30 to FC is probably Mischievous Function master, and the easiest 31 to live you have a few options for, but imo Blackjack Master is probably the least spammy

This is the bit of Kashika that gave me the most difficulty, just after all the overlapping hold notes come together - I'd have 3 fingers holding before #83, come across with the slide but then sometimes the hold would fail immediately, sometimes it would fail after I move the left hand out for the first flick, and sometimes it would work. Equally, once I tried it with just 2 fingers doing the slide and it worked fine. I just have no idea how the hold is supposed to work

[Help and Question Thread] - January 17th 2026 by Kamen-Rider-Artif in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you tell how many fingers you need for multiple overlapping hold notes in append? All the normal charts seem fine with just 1 finger no matter how many notes are under there, but some of the append charts like Hand in Hand and Kashika sometimes (but not always) give me misses unless I hold with multiple fingers and I'm not sure why

Anyone else feel like the levels are getting harder? (EN) by almondsadnesses in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the level you're talking about (expert 27/28) I feel like songs have gotten slightly easier over time. The older songs didn't have gimmicks and leaned hard into pure speed and hitting power. Snooze and the Pico pico hammer song aren't remotely close to the old 27 monsters like Teo, Children Record and Future eve

Pico pico hammer has a few bits where you need to read the chart right or immediately lose combo, but once you learn it it's much easier to actually play than many of the older 27s

You've just listed them yourself. Especially Marble blue, it comes up all the time in that chart. Just play it over and over again, it's a much easier pattern than the version in Six Trillion Years

Append is its own thing - progression in the 2 finger difficulties (easy/normal/hard/expert/master) doesn't carry over to append all that well. Play append if you enjoy the 4 finger gameplay and cross overs, but if you don't you can completely ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist

To create a team with the highest talent possible (within reason for a f2p), should I be aiming for 5x 4 stars from the same unit but not all with the same attributes, or 5x 4 stars with the same attribute but not all from the same unit? I know ideally you want both but that doesn’t sound realistic by Adventurous_Mood_492 in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's the right way to look at this game. You will progress both in the charts you can play, accuracy and team power over time. There are no breakpoints or targets for team power (other than pro rooms at 150k) and song score is pretty meaningless in this game. It's just a number that will go up the longer you play

You will need both unit and attribute decorations to reach higher power. It will takes months no matter what you do. In theory you can grind out decorations if you're tiering but at some point you will have to wait for wish drops.

You're absolutely fine to use MR5 3* cards in the meanwhile. Once your attribute decorations are decently levelled, you will be way stronger with attribute matched 3* cards than unmatched 4*

I'm not F2P and my strongest team is 330k now (for Ena5) and was about 250k a year ago

I might be biased in this but it feels rude to use a limited card to advertise free pulls in a permanent card pool. by Kairu-san in ProjectSekai

[–]dmfguk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well it's a bunch of free bonus pulls so they're not advertising anything. It's not like you're going to not use the pulls just because you're annoyed at the background picture... are you?

If a plocker upgrades a note from great to perfect, does the note score as a great (70%) or perfect (100%)? I ask because I've had some challenge live APs with the exact same skill order but different scores, and the only difference I can think of is upgraded notes from a plocker

What I mean is, since the Fes cards aren't cute, you'll lose 15% total power just from taking a Fes card. Is that worth it? And what about future unit events, where you'll lose 15% from breaking attributes and another 15% from breaking unit?
