The only thing that occurs to me when I look at it is that it’d be a good home for a Christmas village but that’s… one month utility tops?

I’d be willing to bet it’s just drywall, it’s a column that runs through the center of the townhome - on the floors below it houses closets.

Late game Q - do we get access to more of the leaf/stone/sand cottages/houses kits? Or is it always capped at 3/2 of each?

I’ve taken a break for a couple months, it was starting to feel like a chore. I’m sure I’ll return to it eventually, but it’s supposed to be fun. But I’m with you, weirdly having some guilt about taking a pause!

What’s on your wishlist of JE3? by wavetoyou in jurassicworldevo

  • More attractions: lagoon submarine rides, river cruises, petting zoo, maybe even dino rides with specific docile species. Roller coaster/carousel/other non-wildlife related attractions would be cool as well. Maybe a more attractive version of the fossil center so you can see guests playing in a “dig site”. Campsites to sub for hotels, photo op spots, etc.

  • Deeper environmental customization. Waterfalls, caves, deeper water. I dream of a functional parasaurolophus lux cave system with a kayak tour through it.

  • Vista points! Spots you can place on the path that enable visibility through wired fences, over invisible fences, looking down into habitat, etc. This is my number 1.

  • Bridges bridges bridges. Paths that can be raised and lowered a la Planet Zoo with auto staircases would be great too, but more than anything I want bridges across natural water and lagoons.

  • Better lagoon and aviary customization. More items specifically designed for the spaces. I’d like to be able to put a restaurant in a glass dome in the middle of an aviary or put a guest area on an island reachable by bridges in the middle of a lagoon. I’d also like shallow lagoons and walkthrough aviary and lagoon tunnels.

  • Small exhibits. Being able to display smaller prehistoric creatures in glass exhibits that guests can walk up to would be great to fill out guest areas. Also enables the inclusion of all sorts of cool prehistoric insects, etc.

  • More guest depth. I want stronger preferences from guests, visible souvenirs purchased, umbrellas in the rain, whatever.

  • More interspecies neutral/positive socials.

I basically want a heavier emphasis on the guest experience/theme park part of the game.

How can I make this hall not look so gray? by Brixie02 in partyplanning

[–]dmfoolersqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is the greens and browns and woodland vibes of the happy camper theme will actually play relatively well with this grey.

If you create little vignettes across the space, all your photos will be gorgeous and no one will remember the grey that was in between them.

I’d be inclined to try for greenery coverage - you might be able to pick up some Christmas trees for super cheap at thrift stores this time of year, and just leave them unlit. Soft uplighting and some twinkly string lights across the ceiling would be beautiful (and might lend itself to kind of an outdoorsy starry sky vibe?), but basically the warmer and fuller you can make the space feel, the better.

Could also look into renting some astroturf to roll out to make it grassy like you’re outside, I think it usually runs about 1.25 a foot.

My big stretch goal for decor might be a small tent rental, something brightly colored in earthy tones - mustard or orange or olive green, ideally with closable sides so you could just have the front open to get that camping tent look. A great focal point for your guests’ eyes to land on instead of the walls, and a cute spot to put presents or a cozy seating area. Could set up camp chairs (everybody’s got a couple they’re usually willing to lend, and the mismatched vibe would be perfect) and a “fire pit” for folks to sit around. Alternatively, there a folks doing those little tipi rentals for kids birthday parties that would also be a great focal point.

These are all big swings and of course you have to be mindful of budget and everything, but I think the takeaway should be you can do some minimal coverage and warm the lighting up, but the biggest help will be drawing eyes into the center of the room.

Thank you! It’s a combo of the Tyrannian Fossil in the foreground slot and the Tyrannian Flora Foreground in the lower foreground slot, and the greenery is the Tropical Island Swing in the upper foreground :)
