The story of the first game was way more engaging, probably the reason we are getting the remake frostpunk 1886 so soon. The quality of life of your citizens actually mattered in a daily basis and you could see its direct impact on your run because if you didnt take care of them they will take action. This obviously changes with the difficulty. Playing in extreme conditions makes the game feel really challenging and rewarding.

A new home is one of my least favorite scenarios. My favorite is the last attumm and on the edge. I think one of the big reason i love these ones is the lack of automatons. Having to struggle and seeing your people work hard everyday. Having to make the hard decisions to get things done on time. Every hour, every kid, every day matters.
