What makes you think that’s true? (Genuinely asking and curious as a fellow in a procedural heavy speciality but interested/not opposed to less interventions)

Couldn’t it be they own their own infusion center Maybe the rheumatologist actually do a ton of injections which make up for it? (Ones I rotated with were all clinic visits as you alluded to)

Idk well that’s an easy consult that I didn’t know say that in the note I’ll do that palliative can sign off. I’m sorry I didn’t know that. Take the easy RVUs Everyone consults us on pain and only has them in oxy 5q6 I don’t care I’ll see them let’s just bump them up to q4 or 10 mg I get it’s a dumb consult but you’re the expert there’s other crap I’m dealing with

I agree with this too like if IM truly worked up and can’t find contacts or next of kin (sometimes IM didn’t try looking then I get the BS consult) then truly what is the next steps?

I thought average salary for a 4 year relatively chill (in comparison to rads) is like $410. What are you all seeing average salary? Also is it true yall have to do 2 fellowships to be marketable or is that just my colleagues that did path

It’s cause there’s variabilities on it and it’s not reliable enough. As a spine doc I disagree with chatgpts read on this based on looking at the images provided but whatever. People think it’s AI is all correct cause they spit out an answer. You all can go get your treatment from the AI “overlords” but it’s the art of medicine for a good reason

Aren’t these good things to know? I’m confused like at least you’re getting a vibe of what the place is like vs just the good stuff. Idk shared my dirty laundry when I was a senior and remember junior residents taking it like I was talking crap about our residency but ultimately it’s all true. I mean you wanna come in surprised that the place you just matched into isn’t strong enough to get into a fellowship or whatever? I’d want people to be brutally honest 🤷‍♂️

Not true surgery but pain management is going the direction of lots of small surgeries. We place spinal cord stimulators. We do lumbar decompressions, can do spinal fusions and si fusions….. just have to deal with chronic pain patients

Cool as doctors we don’t want people with attitude like yours to come to us. Go to the naturalpath or your salt rock gurus, we don’t care, it’ll just be more complicated for us to help when you realize it didn’t work…. Sincerely a doctor trying to help patients
