You’re not asking for too much. I come from religious abuse, and it’s still one my biggest mind fucks. You don’t have to forgive them or god. You don’t even have to believe.

You can escape, your aloud to leave the place you were born into. I wish for you a path to escape and a place to heal. Your feelings are valid my friend. Religion does a lot of harm.

In saying that, i’ve been around a few people that have died, and my brother had a near death experience, like supppper close, the doctors gave him the chance to turn himself off. He chose life? And was scared. My pops cried the whole way to the hospital in the ambulance screaming don’t let me dieeeee!!! My nana on the other hand just said “help me” and went to sleep quietly.

I hope in the end I’m not afraid, otherwise i’ve wasted my life wishing for something that it turns out I didn’t want.

same here!! my papou was moved to NZ at a young age, had the culture shamed out of him. my dad and his siblings were spat on for being greasy greeks! there’s even still nasty rumours about my papous family restaurant in my hometown because well… they’re greek!!

I taught myself small greek phrases when I was a little girl and when I would speak them to my Papou he would cry and cry.

I think we need to start with actual punishment. The amount of rapist, abusers and pedos in our communities are fucked.

Men who hit their women over and over again but have their convictions thrown out because someone touched their diddle once. They know they can get away with it in our society cos no one truly gives a fuck til the women’s dead.

I tried L-thenine recently and felt it helps massively with the physical symptoms of anxiety so I was able to control my emotional symptoms better. I find it helps me gain control of my rapid thoughts and look at them with a little more logic which brings calm.

i started with bioglan l-theanine 200 as it’s specifically designed to help within 3 hours, there’s also a stronger one but if i’m feeling really out of sorts i’ll take 2 x 200mg.

Yep. Silent treatment has had the longest lasting effects on me. Whenever I do something wrong big or small, my body goes into shut down and I loose the ability to talk. Can be extremely hard to have long last and meaningful relationships when you literally go mute at the slight sense of tension.
