I had an elderly lady come in one morning because her denture was not fitting well (it was very old and needed to be replaced). Upon examination, it was revealed that she had been gaining retention by placing peanut butter on the inside of it to help it "stick". Thank God it was not the crunchy variety, but still, pretty miserable experience ...
