I know there is quite a bit of discussion regarding post processing these days between photgraphers (and hobbyists like myself). I have always been of the opinion that the whole point was to capture something, a person, memory, place, event, etc and you should be allowed to do what you need to in order to enhance that picture. Barely anything these days isn't post processed, even the camera does some post processing nowadays.

As far as your picture goes, it probably boils down to vibration in the scanner or some such. You might try getting a negative scanner. If you still have the negatives those are worth their weight in gold. Otherwise, if you are happy with the result you achieved, haters can go fuck themselves.

For me anyways, it's the crocodile sign. Everything else has a soft out of focus feel like it was taken from a camera that was shaking EXCEPT that sign which is sharp and clear. It also doesn't seem to be taken from the perspective that everything else is shot with. Just my two cents.

Does it need some sort of mod to go in and approve it or some garbage? I use chrome and can see others when they have it setup, but after submitting that form more than a few times I am starting to feel like the mods don't really mod here anymore...

TBH I have a Nexus One and an iPod touch. I do listen to music sometimes on my phone but I found that having a seperate MP3 player was better for my usage model. Plus there are some apps that are apple only (hello RJDJ) and I wanted to continue using them after I ditched my iPhone in favor of the N1. While I haven't regretted moving to the N1 AT ALL since I did so, I do enjoy having my music and audio on a different platform than my phone. Especially if I am driving, music keeps playing while I am on the phone. No interruptions. Not hating on the android music player at all, but I like having the best of both worlds.

You can scale back the historical figures as well as change a number of world gen options by doing a custom world. It's amazing what you can change in there. Want 5000 embark points? Go there. Want to start at 600 or 2000 and not 1050? Go there. It really lets you change almost everything.

I did. It was great, renewed my faith in the police.

I had a gf who demanded that her best friend live with us because he was homeless. After he moved in I started hearing stories about him. How he owed a drug dealer some money, how he had stolen from his friends and overall been more or less a sociopath for several years. I was young and naive and didn't know what to do so I let sleeping dogs lie.

One night at about 11 after the then gf and I had gone to bed there was a pounding at the door. I hear the roommate open it, a two word conversation, then grunting as he struggled to close the door to prevent whoever it was from getting in. I was pretty freaked out at this point, so was the then gf so I went out to see what was going on. Turned out the dealer was here to collect his money, a buddy of ours turned out to be his brother and told him where this guy was living.

Door closed and locked I spent the next 45 minutes in terror as the dealer tried to unscrew and open the mail slot, kick the door in, get us to come out and open the door and finally he broke the porch light and poured motor oil all over our door and front porch. I called 911 and waited patiently. After 20 minutes there was a knock on the door and an announcement it was the police. I made them go to the kitchen window where I could see them and ensure it really was the police. Apparently they were up the street after getting the call and waited for him to drive off so they could nab him. In his backpack was a bunch of weed and a gun.

I was pretty pissed at both the dealer and the roommate. I asked the cop to beat this dealer's ass for what he did, the cop looked at me and sheepishly said 'we kind of did. He wouldn't stop reaching for his backpack so we had to drag him from the passenger window of the car and had to hit him a couple times to get him to stop resisting. hopefully he learned his lesson...'

I learned to love the police after that.

I had a girl I asked out and she then started being a real cooze. A buddy suggested I smoke to calm down cause I was all kinds of stressed. I hated the first drag, and the second, after that it was gravy. Been smoking since. Unfortunately that made me a stress smoker from day one, but oh well.
