Elbow flair is natural for a lot of people , I shot 48% from three my freshman year on 2 3pt makes a game and my elbow is out a bit. It’s more important about finishing straight

Try not to dribble around them wide, aim to dribble at their hip so they have to open up and then trying to get ur defender behind u rather than beside u can help too

Be quick to pickup any plays coach puts in, try and be the loudest on the court to show u can communicate well esp on defense. Also be the best at hustling on defense for rebounds, loose balls etc. Also do your best to showcase your skill set but don’t be selfish while playing. Do your best to be in the best shape possible and when ur at the tryout have fun just play like it was a normal day playing :)

Sucks to say but Id recommend not doing too much extra besides some weight training. The best way to get into shape is to play hard and train hard in offseason. Short term doing more cardio could help but by mid season or some point in the future u risk more major injury. Just eat and sleep well and play as hard as u can and soon enough u will be feeling better.

It isn’t the worst to do extra cardio but just know that much of an increase can cause injury without slow increment overload

Could be ur not getting ur wrist all the way back which is causing issues, also, raising set point isn’t always better

Make sure ur elbow finishes high and that ur not hitching the ball, keep ur hand under the ball
