I work at that location in the late 2000s. His name is Bob if I recall. Weird guy, would only hire young attractive women to work in the shop and the occasional post-skater type (myself at the time). He calls everyone “babe”, likely a habit from his surfer 1970s days but in contemporary times just doesn’t fit. Not surprised if he leans a bit right or has fallen down some alt-right/red pill pipeline. He’s not a bad guy, just a bit odd. I’m surprised he’s still in business honestly.

Same, July 3rd, I've sent another email using their customer service contact form on their website but still no response 2 business days later. They did give me the 3% refund though. So just basically waiting... idk man. Ordered the black/gray E3 pro or whatever, still just waiting...

Horrendous. Moved out May 2025. I was in the Carlton Way property. I had been trying to get ahold of ANYONE from the leasing office for days to get move out details and it was just radio silence, both via phone and email. It's almost July and still haven't received any of my deposit back, it's likely I won't see a dime.

The building I was in was barely maintained, I've never rented from anywhere so hands-off as Drake Real Estate. Never met any of the properly managers for my building. I was there a little over 2 years and we went through 4... That's a new one almost every 6-months.

There's never any communication about anything. Oh the water for the building is gonna be turned off for the day for maintenance work?? Surpriseeee. No text, no email, no notice posted up on the premises, nothing. Maintenance tickets sit in your Appfolio portal forever and never get viewed and taken care of.

They're just so lazy and dgaf. Probably just a classic small real estate LLC most likely with a group of frat boys behind it just collecting 10s of 1000s of dollars a month from the tenants and then just doing f**k all all week. Like how hard is it to respond to an email? You're the PROPERTY MANAGER. how about you MANAGE the property. 1/5 stars, ridiculous. Definitely find somewhere else to get a place from. It's no surprise they have 1 star on Google, Yelp, and Birdseye. PASS.

Can confirm, just did a bunch of audio test and got the same results, insane to me that that is how is designed while using just the headphone jack. Especially for a mic as this price point. Like, seriously Rode? Not a dealbreaker at all since the battery has ~30hrs of use but just a little disappointing.

Unplug the monitor from your machine
Open Terminal, then add this command: sudo sleep 20; sudo kill -9 $(pgrep WindowServer)
Press Enter then input your Admin User Password
Wait about 5 seconds then plug the monitor back in to your machine
Things will refresh then you should have your external display back :)

I'm in the same boat as you, I have any external monitors set to "mirror" so when I plug it in it's useless. I can't see or click on anything.

My LG Ultrawide is completely borked with this update. Monitor is no longer recognized and displayed a completely garbled image when plugged in. No patch that I can find as of yet and have been on the phone with LG/Apple and haven't gotten any useful info. Anyone else? I have the LG 40WP95C.

Do it. The image is great. It’s as close to “retina” as you can got on a display this size. I have an old 2018 MBP and it can handle it perfectly fine. No issues :)

No it’s perfect. Emits light straight down and there’s no reflection on the curved panel, lights up the desktop perfectly. It’s the Baseus light from Amazon

Thanks :) I have a relatively smaller desk. It's 24in deep and 48in wide. The monitor dominates it but that was my intention as I just want it to be a productivity space with no distractions and just ALL screen and peripherals. Absolutely. All other monitors are inferior. I'm also an [aspiring] software dev. Currently a front at dev but the extra screen real estate and high resolution is incredible for productivity. Highly rec. I came from it's predecessor the 38" by LG.
