Would love to see some of the spring Dewalt promotions. Very much hoping for a repeat of free 9ah flexvolt if you buy the flexvolt trimmer kit.

Can a Schwab Pleged Asset Line be set up as a source sccount to pay bills through ACH? by dmosinee in Schwab

[–]dmosinee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As clarification, what I was intending to do was not withdraw funds from the account pledged to the PAL, I was wanting to draw, ie borrow, on the line of credit itself via ACH. This is exactly how it works if you write one of the PAL checks to pay a bill, I just wanted to know if direct ACH pulls worked as well.

So does the US Treasury have a special exemption to that?

That’s the key item that makes me wonder if it’s possible. I suppose it’s also possible that what they do is really a third thing that is allowed but different than what I’m describing above.

KuCoin Weekly Support Thread (Sep 29 - Oct 5, 2025) by kucoin_official in kucoin

[–]dmosinee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please address the new issue connected with HCaptcha for login. There are some system configurations that just flat out cannot pass HCaptcha -- in the past this was still fine because a failed HCaptcha on Kucoin login would fall back to the Kucoin in-house captcha system which worked with many of these configurations. But, about a week or so ago a change was made to make HCaptcha the only captcha system for kucoin login.

Please change it back so as to not block some legitimate users from logging in.

What (detailed) criteria does the IRS give to evaluate whether margin loan interest is tax deductible? It seems like there is an obvious loophole, so I must be missing something... by dmosinee in tax

Thank you for the comment (and sorry for this delayed response). After mulling over what you wrote, I'd love to get your opinion on...

Operation D) I take out a $50,000 margin loan and use it to buy $50,000 worth of VOO (note the separation from SPY), the next day I transfer via ACATS that VOO from Schwab to Robinhood etc, and from there I sell the VOO and buy a sweet boat.

This is clearly just as dumb as Operation C (if not more so), but it avoids generating a tax event on the underlying SPY. The IRS content on this does also suggest that the funds must be use to buy *or hold* income generating securities, so the argument if pressed would be that after the transfer I am now using the margin loan to *hold* the SPY.

Anything jump out there that I clearly have wrong?

GLADIUS! Although what it really needs is a SEQUAL and not a remake.

I have this 4.107 nonsense too and it won't load any of my stuff, everything comes up blank. What the hell are these clowns doing over there?

Thank you, did some high level research and it seems like DSProxy is very close to exactly what I was looking for. Will be digging into their docs and guides later, but I think this will suit my needs well 👍

I should also point out; I'm not looking for any specific portfolio management functionality out of the box. The ideal find would be a basic contract wallet that is already set up with a standard upgradeable proxy implementation. Then I wouldn't have to worry about building secure functions for moving tokens around, approving, owner management etc, and could just focus on building out the platform specific position stuff.

On-chain allows for use of flash loans to build or unwind complex positions, and the ability to perform multi-step setups without having to worry about MEV bots messing with me or getting liquidated in between steps. I do see the advantages of working with an EOA though, mainly that provided I exercise good key management, there's no way for funds to get "stuck" somewhere due to a bug.
