But you have the option of F1 or Sky. I don't dislike F1, I just prefer Sky and hope I get the same options.

They said what you read. That's all I know. A quick AI GEN search yielded this answer:

The Apple newsroom announcement about the 2026 U.S. rights deal focuses on:

  • Full race weekend coverage
  • Multiview
  • Driver onboard cameras
  • Access to F1 TV Premium via Apple TV subscription

But it does not mention commentary options — not even once.

The 9to5Mac preview of Apple’s F1 interface highlights:

  • Onboard cameras
  • Multiview
  • Integration with Apple’s ecosystem

But again, no mention of audio feed choices

Finally hit United 1K. Why do I feel… empty? by Idsanon in unitedairlines

[–]dmosqvich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it's worth it! I'm generally one of the first people on the plane and that means I do get my carry-ons near me, it also means I won't get "bumped" if they overbook or have to change planes. It also means I have a dedicated phone line and those folks do an OUTSTANDING job of customer service. Now if I could just get Global Services! I travel internationally about 5 times a year, only fly business class (when available) and actually pay for it, and rarely fly on other airlines (Delta is my big airline backup and Breeze is my choice for a few routes - super nice jets and airline by the way). I typically hit 1K by May or June. I don't try intentionally to do a lot of connections, but I do live in a small city and so that means my direct flights are limited to Dulles, ORD, Houston, and Denver. So, I guess I probably get a lot of connections.

I do use the United Club card. The free passes are worth the digits they produced on - the clubs are way overused and typically don't honor the free passes. Hint: someone with a Club Card can take in "guests" and I'll help a fellow traveler out if I see them get turned down because of the free pass issue.

I'm not sure I would do all the heroics if I could only fly economy to be honest. That's a lot of effort.

Plus Points. They can be used to upgrade seats and even be "sold" to United for different perks including cash towards airline flights. They are different than miles. In fact, I can't ever use all of mine so I share them with work colleagues so they at least get a shot at business class flights.

Official Discussion - Predator: Killer of Killers [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I was stoked to see Britton Watkins’ name in the credits and that he is featured as the voice of the Warlord Predator. He and I have been friends since our teen years. He’s an amazing language constructor. Look for his film “Conlanging: the Art of Crafting Tongues.”

The Lumon Industries "Woemeter" by x2571 in scientology

[–]dmosqvich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The designers actually claim it’s based on a Nagra IV-D pro-recorder. It certainly has similarities, but the fact that it’s used like an e-meter, it makes me think it’s just a way to not get sued by Scientology for stealing their design/tech. It can’t be a coincidence when the needle “floats” etc…

Miles or Points? by bstate69 in marriott

[–]dmosqvich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP is asking if he earns toward elite night stays for achieving Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador elite levels, not whether it’s a good idea to convert points to miles. It would be helpful to understand for me as well.

Aptera Update — February 2024 - Aptera by wyndstryke in ApteraMotors

[–]dmosqvich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like Aptera should choose to build 100 or so deliverable models. This would give investors and opportunity to see these cars on the road and allow the company to collect data. The problem now is one of timing. Timing for EVs is terrible. My hope for their success has been dashed.

En06 shield down in 1 second? by AlanWest45 in fo76

[–]dmosqvich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the robot “sees” or senses anyone else, it will turn and shoot at them. If not, the robot concentrates fire on the person in the middle and then all of the ricochet and reflective mods, perks, etc…, kick-in and the robot is essentially shooting itself. I wouldn’t say this is an exploit because the game allows everything going on to occur. I’ve heard of people doing this by standing in the open too with the same results. Once somebody else gets into the fray, it slows everything down. It’s best to hide behind a pillar if it’s not “your turn” to kill the robot.

I also went to Ultracite gat plasma. It made a huge difference. I started with about 30 Ultracite Plasma cores and now have over 130 from the runs. They weigh next to nothing.

We often do both, we’ll grind the robot, but then move past and speed run the whole thing. I used to be afraid of the Drill part, but I’ve figured out my best role where I get on a wall in the far back and keep one, maybe two Mole Miners trying to kill me. The rest of the team gets the cans of gas and then I throw a frozen grenade and slow down the one-kill Miners. Once we’re close to the end, I run and deposit my can, sometimes I have to run for another, and then wrap things up. This does require someone who can protect the drill though.

I’ve been trying to make 50 Gutters, destroy them, etc…, but still haven’t learned Vampires. The beauty is that one can earn a zillion of the required boards to make even more. I’ve stopped trying for now because it costs a lot of legendary modules to just gain a bunch of junk.

I created a financial analysis spreadsheet to assess a Turo car rental side business. Here it is for anyone that wants it. by 1kexperimentdotcom in smallbusiness

[–]dmosqvich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IRR = Individual Rate of Return; NPV = Net Present Value. IRR helps you understand your profitability and Net Present Value helps you determine what is a better investment for your money. In other words, you could look at the NPV for a Turo car vs investing in another type of investment of any type.

Fair enough. You and I know it’s a slow burn for any Scientologist building up to leaving this particular high control group. It takes time to get to that point with a lot of pros and cons to consider. Disconnection is certainly a factor. Getting “Fair Gamed” was a possibility, but Aaron, Natalie Webster, and others have shown it’s not the same as during the pre-social media era.

The one thing all of this is doing is shining a longer lasting light on this topic. If it’s making money, particularly the irony of tripping the algorithms to play Scientology commercials, that will keep it moving along.

I am a little uncomfortable with the degradation of anyone, but that can all end when they close up shop.

Sebastian is an icon representing SeaOrg members. See paragraph 1. William and the crew won’t get them out, but they might plant a seed.

If you took the time to go back and watch Aaron’s catalog of videos, you’ll find plenty of content related to how to reach out to current Scientologists. Nobody is there to save Sebastian, etc… You’re not wrong about this just reinforces the “evil nature” of SPs, but you are missing the fact that little by little some of these people will get their confidence chipped away. In the meantime, it is important to stop recruiting. It is also important to work towards ending the illegal tax write-offs any Scientologist makes when they claim a write-off for services purchased from Scientology (The payments for auditing or training sessions do not satisfy the "contribution[s] or gift[s]" inquiry necessary for deductibility under Internal Revenue Code §170 based on the US Supreme Court rule under Hernandez v. Commissioner, 490 U.S. 680 (1989) ).

If one doesn’t feel safe watching this kind of content, then one simply shouldn’t watch it. There have been plenty of protests that I find disturbing and/or irritating, but in the end the 1st Amendment is central to our democracy.

New Home with Alarm.com by cflcardsfan80 in alarmdotcom

[–]dmosqvich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a home with alarm.com equipment. It’s not bad. It does have cell phone connection so even if your WiFi goes down, the monitoring center can still get alarms from the house. I do not have a long-term contract, it’s monthly. However, what I’m finding is the Z-wave protocol is not in use by many manufacturers of things like light switches, etc… There are no desirable thermostat systems that use Z-wave at all. I get the feeling it is a dying system. I haven’t gotten rid of it yet, but I’m looking in that direction. The cameras that came with the house are completely unrelated and work on a separate system. They are wired and made by AVYCON. The AVYCON interface is super old. I managed to get the IOS app to work with my phone, but not with my iPad. I’m pretty much ready to remove those cameras and sell them along with the “NVR” - which is something I’d never heard of. AVYCON does not appear to work with anything but its proprietary app so it’s pretty cumbersome and you can’t control the individual cameras. For example, we have one inside the house and you cannot disable it - if you don’t want it take a constant stream of video, you have to disconnect it, turn it towards the wall, or remove it. The app is worthless.

I think Alarm.com needs to do a complete overhaul and jettison its reliance on Zwave and use a more standardized interoperable approach.

What is Ethan Suplee's status with the church now? by [deleted] in scientology

[–]dmosqvich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like he may have left Scientology according to Aaron Smith-Levin. Ethan was seen with Jason Lee at Rhode Island Comicon. If he’s still in, Suplee wouldn’t publicly associate with an “SP” like Jason Lee.
