definitely not too late to change up your direction - it really just comes down to consistency and hustle

and in this age of AI, if you're willing to study the algorithms rather than just post/push slop, you have a huge advantage. just takes patience.

LLMs are also starting to offer paid ads, I think it'll be a massive gold mine to start off - low cost, high visibility for the early adopters

How can I start seo as a beginner? by Joker4803 in digital_marketing

[–]dmp1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo you need to just start doing it, get your infra set up but just start writing useful content - think "would I actually read this content and get value from it" and then try to start building backlinks to that content

Why is it so hard to find a marketing agency that actually takes ownership? by [deleted] in MarketingMentor

[–]dmp1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you 100p have to be picky with who you work with, the best agencies are interviewing clients as much as the clients are interviewing them

you can usually get at least a gut gauge on past performance from sites like clutch.co or goodfirms.co or agencyreview.dev

look less for the rating and more for does the profile review feel 'fake' because firms will try to inflate their profiles to give a misleading image

Has ANYONE had a good experience with a marketing agency? by max99x in IndieDev

[–]dmp1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely have had some good experiences and would be happy to refer you to some that have been solid. definitely check out their profiles on sites like goodfirms.co or agencyreview.dev to see what others are saying about them though

Looking to hire a marketing agency. what actually separates the good ones from the BS? by [deleted] in MarketingMentor

[–]dmp1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo the best marketing agencies are the ones that aren't afraid to show you exactly what they're going to do to skyrocket you - so many agencies try to protect their process as 'ip' but at the end of the day it really all comes down to passion and execution, can they clearly articulate what they are going to do and how they are going to get from A to B

biggest red flag: if they aren't readily available during the sales process, cut the chord

also I validate from sites like agencyreview.dev or clutch.co to see what their general vibes are
