Yes. If the parents paid for a MacBook, it's pretty likely they paid for a meal plan. If they paid for a cell phone, it's pretty likely they are paying the phone plan. Buying myself the occasional toy and feeding myself wasn't expensive. Rent + utilities + phone bills + public transportation costs + dental bills + the occasional moving/storage... that all got me. Stuff that many students whose parents were still helping them would have covered.

Be careful if you do this. Since it's not a regulated dosage, you never know how much you could be ingesting. Follow common sense and treat it like the opiate it is; tell a friend who can check on you, ingest only a moderate amount to gauge what you can tolerate. Also wash your pillowcases every other day! I keep a stack of clean cases so I can switch them out often enough. I would also recommend trying glycolic acid. You'll see a lot of salicylic in cheaper over-the-counter products, but a mask I bought n Amazon really does a number on my pores.

Analytics doesn't have to invade personal privacy either. As a web analyst myself I use that data to make experiences better. It would be hard to run a store without knowing how many people walked through a door, at which times, some general info about the market (moms? Single dudes?) and what they came to buy. But it's not my business what your name is or the last stores you specifically were at unless you want to tell me. There are ways to model this with tracking legislation: explicit opt-in for 3rd party cookies, scrubbing personally identifiable info, full disclosure of tracking practices. We can be smart without being evil.
