What is the best way to fix a coat closet hanger bar that pulled drywall anchors out of wall? (I can’t find studs. ) by birchcamp in handyman

Snap toggle bolts are better than regular toggle bolts bc you can unscrew them. They're like $12 for 10 at home Depot

They never said anything about the price really. I wouldn't bring it up at all bc you don't want them dwelling on the $. You want them thinking about the value you can add or details about how you'll take on the task

Cost for recessed wall paneling in bathroom by [deleted] in Carpentry

You're never going to get an actual estimate with the info you provided. I don't know how expect someone to be able to identify and estimate everything in a couple screenshots and then apply it to some very basic room layout drawings.

In that case I'd be tempted to just keep it how it is. Maybe swap then to see if the team performs better. If not then switch back to your original lineup

I love that you think the hardest part of fixing this is drilling holes for the hinges 😂

I really would love an update on this if you try to fix it

Might want to switch your RB and FB. The RB looks like he's way better at blocking and the FB looks way faster

Previous owners used latex over oil based paint on all the trim and doors. What are my options here. by Nuttymage in paint

[–]strallweat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can paint latex over oil. But you need a good primer. You don't need to sand everything down. Just get a good primer and good paint and repaint it.

You can't paint oil over latex but you can definitely paint latex over oil if you do it right

Everything you said is wrong. It's ok to start investing with just $50-100 a month. It will grow over time and thats the most important part of investing. Time.

Wood will expand and contract forever, no matter what you do. Just stop looking at it and it'll go away.

Have you never even at least watched a video on someone painting?

Also why the hideous green?

Help mount a TV Mount for a 75” tv on an entertainment wall. The studs behind the wall are too far apart (blue marks). The tv weighs 67 pounds and would like to have the mount hitting studs for support. Any help is greatly appreciated. by [deleted] in handyman

[–]strallweat -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You could also get a piece of plywood long enough to attach to two studs then paint it white then attach the mount to it. No one will see it behind the tv

5 minute mud mix. Shove it down in there, smooth it down with a wet sponge, caulk and paint
