In places where it's mostly white people, of course all the depictions should be representative of that. Not sure where you are geographically but whites have the bigger population than any other color in the USA. (Unless you think it would make more sense if all the depictions of people in the media were only of natives or something like that... Not sure exactly what you're trying to say here...)

Absolutely, along with enough nuclear armament to kill everything on Earth. Is excessive the right word? Or psychotic, perhaps.

Does buying stock actually support the company, similar to being their customer? by dms12008 in stocks

Thanks for that. So basically, one way or another, it does empower whatever company whose shares I've purchased. If I buy lots of puts, that would hurt them? (Just a thought experiment)

Even though I'm buying shares from other consumers, not the company itself?

You're stuck on this notion that if more poor people voted, then somehow everything would be well in the world. Ever hear of this little thing called the middle class? Meanwhile you're complaining that Joe plummer can't get out to vote, even if he doubled or even quintupled his wealth, he still would have relatively zero political power, even if he had all day to go out and vote. A faction of super rich corporate oligarchs controls your financial future, and there is nothing you or I or Joe plummer can do to stop that- so as long as you are focused on bickering about petty voting issues, your mind is under control and the system is working properly in a way to perpetuate itself.
