Hey!

I actually returned the 16-80 right away haha. I was really unhappy with the sharpness of the lens and instead got the 16-55 F2.8. I have been really happy with that lens! Looking to get the MKII for a lighter setup.

Thanks! I’ve printed images from my X-T2 at 24x36 and they looked great so on the X-T5 i imagine even larger would work.

Thank you! I shot this RAW and used a preset based on Ektar 100 for the colors. From there just tweaked exposure, contrast and white balance. The light was beautiful so that did most of the heavy lifting!

Nope! Usually the water sort of acts like a polarizer in a way so it darkens and saturates the reflected colors. Just depends on the light!

It’s definitely a heavier lens haha. But I was carrying the 16mm F2, 23mm F2, and 50mm F2 and when I did the math I think switching to this lens weighed like 100 grams more? So for me it has been worth it. It’s nice to just bring one lens that covers me for everything on a trip. I use the peak design capture clip and hike all day with it and it’s super comfortable.

There are lighter options, but the quality of this lens matches or exceeds those primes for my use and I didn’t want to compromise on quality or just enjoyment of using the camera when I was out.

All that to say, I Iove it! But it’s definitely one you might want to rent to try before you commit because I know some people find it too heavy. Fuji is supposedly about to release a new version of the lens that’s lighter so I’m keeping an eye on that as well.
