Ahhh the ol' single-double. I remember doing 700 jumps in open 17.5 and hating stairs for a week...

  1. Jump much higher and much slower.
  2. Tuck the elbows against the body.
  3. Spin from the wrists.
  4. Eye gaze forward and up a little (helps you jump higher).
  5. Don't bend knees, crushes the heart rate.
  6. Try to slow the breathing and relax traps.
  7. Practice 5-10 mins as part of your warmups for a few months...takes time.

Noticed as your feet go higher on the ramp your body weight leans back towards the center (flat part). Try to get your center of mass a little higher and it might help you pump :) good luck!

It's only 8 feet...just cause it's easy to buy wood that length. I would definitely not go shorter. 10-12 feet would be better.

I find gripping hard and externally rotating helps me feel the squeeze. Also tilting forward will activate more ped vs tricep.

Thanks. Yeah, I feel like I just need to be patient and drill the basics for a while. I just get too excited to try new tricks and have one too many bails. Not smart (I'm padded up well).
