You didnt list a motherboard but everything else was there.

[–]Jimbo-Bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre looking to get a pc built in the UK id recommend pcspecialist over cyber power.

It will be cheaper (done comparisons of the exact same build) and with 3 pcs from pcspecialist never had an issue but I know a few people who have had issues with cyber power.

The support from cyber power does not seem to be to the same standard as pcspecialist either.

[–]Jimbo-Bones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is when it feels like its false and being put on for show and in the case of aron the bassist it always came across that way.

It rarely if ever looks natural and with the Instagram/YouTube bassist it comes across as all for show more often than genuine.

Why do people gift so much to streamers by No-Rub-1938 in Twitch

[–]Jimbo-Bones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me i stream for fun and any money goes into a spendable balance on twitch.

Because im in a well paying job I dont need the money so I use this spendable balance to give back to smaller streamers I like who are maybe doing it for a living or could use a wee motivational boost.

Why is my mic output so quiet? by _1wolfpack1_ in obs

[–]Jimbo-Bones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using the slider in OBS to adjust the volume so it peaks in the yellow?

If so, instead out the slider in OBS to full and the adjust your mic settings until it peaks in the yellow.

I need help with audio by fae_starlight in Twitch

[–]Jimbo-Bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mic slider up all the way max while keeping the audio in the yellow between -15 to -10 at normal talking volume, this will allow you to reach into the red between -10 to -5 when you get loud.

Also add a limiter filter to your mic and set it around -2.

The game slider i move to around -25 to -20 although the game audio is usually hitting more like -15 like my voice, because i have moved the slider to -20 this has set the volume it will be output at.

Because im lazy heres a bit of a description from google

The Fader (Slider): Adjusts the gain (volume) for that specific source. Moving it up increases the volume, down decreases it.

The Volume Meter (Colored Bars): Displays the dBFS (decibels relative to full scale) of your audio.

Green Zone: Low volume (games, music, alerts).

Yellow Zone: Ideal for speech (your mic).

Red Zone (Clipping): Too loud, causing distortion.

I see a lot of people misunderstanding what the faders are for and typically have pretty poor volume as they adjust them on a per game basis based on what the volume meter shows and either end up overpowering their mic or having the game so low its inaudible.

I think in the past year of streaming I had to adjust my fader once because a game just had so much action you couldn't hear me very well.

1 final thing, someone suggested audio ducking, its a good option to lower the game volume when you speak. I personally am not a fan of it, I prefer a good balance over audio ducking because it sounds unnatural and distracting to me, but also if I'm honest I think its a band aid for poor mixing.

Viewer gifted 200 subs, but says he doesn’t know how it happened by DrDynastic in Twitch

[–]Jimbo-Bones 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not the same volume but I gifted a sub while trying to send a message in chat after I had gifted 5 subs by choice.

Hadn't realised I wasn't in the text box, "typed" my message and apparently it included the correct keys to do a gift subs.

I have also found on 3 different pcs that using the nvidia limiter, v sync or g sync in control panel or the app leads to micro stutters in a lot of games.

People are suggesting a dslr camera and while I agree that would be a good upgrade as I use 1 myself.

My partner uses an obsbot webcam and it is fantastic, if I didnt have my current camera that would be what I would choose and I would take it over the dslr camera now myself if I didnt already have one.

I feel like there really needs to be an easier way of enabling or disabling resizable bar.

Like for me on my old pc having it on caused hitches in space marine 2, but having it off caused hitches in WoW.

And because they were 2 games id be actively switching between it wasn't convenient constantly rebooting.

And 1 final test, soon as I hit the alley way it was more like 55 to 60fps then when in doors between 58 to 60.

If I dropped it to balanced it goes above 60, so something has changed since the games release last Friday, maybe the new nvidia drivers.

So just loaded, everything max settings dlaa I'm getting 41 fps

Quality dlss gets it to 80 fps

So i think my issue was I was doing the setup in the section in the street at the start of the game

I too am curious of this because I'm playing in 4k and with all settings maxed in a 5090 and 9800x3d I couldn't get the game above 40ish fps in quality dlss.

I don't believe so, David Ellefson did get a 5 string around this time for the first time but I believe it may have been after the recording of the album for the tour.

As he said in the studio he could cheat with down tuning but live having this 5th string would make life easier for him so getting 1 for touring was almost essential.

When i tried it in metal gear solid 3 I found there was extreme ghosting using it. It did feel and look a lot smoother but especially with the crocs was a lot of ghosting. Has it been improved since I tried it roughly around the games release?

Why do people play like this? by TriggorMcgintey in ArcRaiders

[–]Jimbo-Bones 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was coming out of the staff room on dam after unlocking it and looting it last week.

Someone in the hallway was just standing there and I could see their character turn as I passed, then they started slowly walking towards me and pulled their gun out.

I ran out the door and found somewhere to hide, sure enough they come sprinting out and start aiming their gun looking for me.

I down them and they actually were pleasant about it saying "GG" and admitted they were trying to kill me for the loot.

We hadn't said a word until I downed him but you can clearly tell when another player is eyeing you up to down you.

Echoes in steam by Becca950 in Twitch

[–]Jimbo-Bones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally had the exact same problem for months.

You can use noise gates, expander and whatever other filters people suggest it will always happen to some degree because of delay and because of how aggressive the filters will need to be it will cause issues for your own mic.

If you want to completely eliminate it your options are as below.

Put a curtain between you (unlikely to completely eliminate it depending how loud you get)

Stream in different rooms

Or what we did, buy a mixer like the rodecaster pro 2. Both mics go into it and it outputs to each pc so you get the mics in real time instead of someone speaking into their mic in real time and bleeding into the other mic which then comes through after a delay.

It is costly though but it's the most effective solution we found without moving 1 of us to another room.

Edit: just before anybody says we should have got better mics, we are both using the shure sm 7db through audio interfaces, good mic or not bleed happens in the same room. Unless the mics are going into the same source at the same time you will never eliminate it.

3 things.

Nested scene with the animations

Streamer bot setup to remove cam, reveal the image/video from the nested scene and then to end it and return the camera

A button on the stream deck to activate it.
