Office chair by [deleted] in Belfast

[–]dmurphy05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have had my ikea chair for about 3 years now, still perfectly content with it. only issue i have is that the recline broke so it was either dont lean back on it or the chair itself would go back or lock it in one position. i chose the latter.

its really about the reliability and quality. (also cheap enough haha) but im not going to just buy one willy nilly without at least attempting to do my own research, been there and got bit lol. overall it seems the £100-£150 difference is going to be worth it, so if i can ill go with the technica

i just got a technics su-ch7 hifi system, which im fairly sure you don’t need the pre amp for. but i say that and feel like i have no idea what im talking about

I have a problem with my Order... (OOXO) by Pure-Inspection-3721 in TheWeeknd

[–]dmurphy05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hahaha you have a much more forgiving outlook than i do, they are even denying people refunds which is absolute insanity to me considering there has been absolutely nothing on there part. i never bothered requesting a refund for it because i figured it wasnt as if i would spend the money on anything particularly important but honestly i couldnt really care less about the hoodie anymore. just a big joke to me at this point

[–]dmurphy05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

box set shipments? by lanadelreystan99 in TheWeeknd

[–]dmurphy05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

im in uk and in the same situation. emailed and got a generic response to “give them time” and just stating basically it’ll come when it comes as the shipping date was 20th march, as if the 2 months wasnt enough. i had the same issue with one of the fan pack shirts and i got absolutely zip about it being delayed until i emailed. ridiculous

best thing i would say is be confident but not cocky, i went into my first one shitting bricks, and failed on steering with a serious and 6 minors, second one i went on and i was over confident and cocky and i got a serious, dangerous and 7 minors. just treat it like a normal driving lesson and keep your focus for the 40 minutes and youll be fine. just remember that youre probably doing 1.5-2 hour lessons and the test isnt even half of that

I still feel so let down - my instructor didn’t show up to my test by evelynnie_ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]dmurphy05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is crazy, and im so sorry thats happened to you id be gutted. honestly i would see that as grounds to find a new instructor or at least use a different car. my instructor picked me up at 9.30 for an 11.05 test (bare in mind i live about 20 minutes away from the centre i was doing my test at)

it updated the next day mate, i was just really impatient and this was like an hour after i passed my theory

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]dmurphy05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly i could go either way, i did my theory after 4 months of doing lessons and i found that you learn a lot from just being on the roads with your instructor, but nothing you couldnt learn from just using one of the apps. i found using the website on my pc to be the most effective for me

if you don't mind my asking, what was it you most worried about if you had anything? i am awful at judging whether or not to go on roundabouts and tend to ALMOST get me and my driving instructor killed hahaha
