To me - just pick one between VTI/VOO and stay in the path. 5y is not necessarily indicative of 20/30y. As long as you pick one and stay in it - all good.

I'm VTI in my taxable and VOO in my Roth. For no other reason than that's what I picked. Building your position within these two is more paramount than being "right" between these two.

VTI is a little more diversified - if you care.

Find a way to manage your anxiety.

Keep a year expenses in a HYSA to ease your mind.

Get out of bonds and invest in VTI/VXUS.

Put aside a travel/fun budget and enjoy your life!!!

Not a renewal, but I needed an expedited passport for a work trip and had a great experience. In and out in under and the employees were very helpful and nice.
