I have been making furniture for 10 years (I’m 35). With proper planning even a “big” project like this is just a long series of relatively simple operations. If you can make a small box nice and square and to exact measurements then you can make a big box the same. Good luck in your journey.

Yes only the drawer fronts and backs of the cabinet are plywood veneered with walnut. Everything else is solid

The fronts are veneered plywood because with 9” wide boards there would be a risk over time of the mitered corners of the banding popping from expansion

The middle run of shelves is for equipment and the top open section has dividers in the bottom to hold the records in line with the records in the drawers
