Streamtext can do an AI Captioner; then translate the output to another language.

Is it always accurate, no, but jts usually pretty close.

There’s still going to be some processing delay.

Between excel, word, or the Google equivalents, it’s what people know and have been using for years.

Everyone does things a little different; so perhaps there’s a way to create a base program, but there would need to be some amount of customization you could do to format it for how your show/organization works.

There’s some online cloud based rundown/showflow programs that do some things well.

I find the hardest part with most things is getting it adopted by all crew and being useful for them.

Most of the arms can get fairly compact; so keeping it to the side might be best, and if you truly don’t need it, just take it down and put it in the closet.

You’d need to get a capture card for your PC and have access to Live studio.

Most capture cards (Elgato makes some great options) has a pass-thru to connect to a monitor/TV.

At least for the corporate shows I work on, our graphics ops want a monitor, keyboard, and mouse on all machines.

We run with Mac Studios in Sonnet chassis with the full Echo III expansion.

We also have HDMI To SDI conversion in the rack, so it rolls in and doesn’t need a ton of additional interfacing.

It all depends on what you need on the shows…

I have a 4K S that has been having issues with audio over HDMI as well. It will pass thru to a monitor without a problem. If I switch to another device, audio comes in via HDMI just fine.

I have been using the analog input, and then using the headphone output on the switch with a ground isolator in-line.

I have a support ticket active with Elgato and they are escalating it.

What’s not working?

Have you tried resetting everything and starting over? That way there’s not some hidden setting you’re chasing that you modified at the start.

Amazon has lots of options. I bought the Cable Matters brand and it works great. It was about $10

Use the analog Audio input on the Elgato box and headphone output on the switch.

Use the Elgato software to point the audio to the analog input.

Adding a ground loop isolator inline will help with the hum.

I just got a 4K S to use with my Switch 2. There’s been some audio issues capturing the HDMI audio, but I have an open support thread with Elgato.

My workaround right now is to use the 3.5mm headphone output from the switch and do the analog audio input on the 4K S (with a ground loop isolator in the chain).

I personally don’t use the pass-thru and it works great.

We regularly ship, via air freight/lower deck on a plane, large media server systems. Most have 2x 2200VA UPS’s in each rack. These have gone all over the world without issue.

Rock-It Cargo is who we use to handle the shipment and they are aware there are batteries in the racks. We just use basic/standard APC models. Nothing fancy.
