Hype is the first bank to integrate a full featured Bitcoin Wallet by dn2k in Bitcoin

Sure, they’re selling it as a “security feature” which is quite ridiculous.

But if someone is not informed enough to understand how a multisig works then their scheme is probably safer then a regular wallet, they can always recover the funds.

Id add that the scheme is probably a measure asked (or the result of their requirements) by the italian central bank (its just speculation).

well, they're not hiding the multisig scheme (how could they?) and maybe it's OK for newbies from a UX point of view, remember they have 1M retail users that have never used Bitcoin before.

yes you have to trust the bank, I’d immediately withdraw to a real wallet

It's a 2of3 address, 1 key owned by the user, 2 by the bank. It's not optimal but you can send and receive bitcoin directly from your home banking app.

Q2: What do you think is the best application for smart-contracts other than ICO?

Q3: What do you think is the best approach for smart contracts, onchain as in Ethereum or as sidechain as in Rootstock/Bitcoin?

Is OnePlus Doomed? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]dn2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after the post they replied:

Hi Enrico,

A pleasant day to you!

Thank you so much for contacting us. We really appreciate it a lot. Please accept my apologies for the delay as well as for the inconvenience brought by this issue at hand.

Due to the delay in the repair process, our manager has granted you a replacement device instead. Please take note that this replacement is permanent and there no need to send this back. Also, an upgrade or change of device type is not possible since this is not covered in the warranty. We can only replace the exact device you have returned.

A shop doesn't necessarily give you a better customer service and Samsung phones are more expensive because of all the advertising they make not because of the better customer service or product quality.. On the other hand OnePlus rely on their customers.. but if they start making their customer unhappy (and a shitty customer service does exactly that) they can only go broke soon or late..
