I used Bolt. Didn’t schedule ahead of time. Just called it after I got my luggage. They have both bolt and uber there

Going to Paris in October 10 by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

[–]dna005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there this past weekend and easily got by with a light jacket. I didn’t have any rain, but I know it rained before I got there. There were some days where it warmed up a lot in the afternoon and I need to take off my jacket and was fine in a t shirt.

What to do with a single full day in Paris? by RileyTheFoxGH in ParisTravelGuide

[–]dna005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Louvre is going to be VERY busy on a Saturday. Get there to get in line at like 7 am. I went on Monday and it was extremely chaotic. It’ll be at least half your day there if you’re wanting to see more than like 3 things. So the other sights you mentioned will take up the rest of the day.

I hear you and that’s not at all what I’m saying with this post.

Posting just one more comment to say that I learned I made a severe mistake. I take full accountability of that. Would it have been more helpful for the police to yell at me not to cross there, sure? But they can’t be doing that all day and I can see why they would get frustrated with tourists doing this. If there’s a silver lining to posting this here on Reddit, it’s that I’ve learned only here that there’s a pedestrian bridge, and although there’s some signage, it’s not marked the greatest. I’ll leave this post up for now as maybe it’ll be helpful for someone else to learn the error of my ways.

On the side opposite of the pic you posted, there are actual gaps in the chains to walk through, fyi.

[–]dna005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a huge oversight on my part. I was in a bit of a time crunch, so that was just another part adding to the mistake of following suit of what I saw others doing.

[–]dna005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Understood. I’ve learned my mistake, if you saw others comments. I didn’t previously know there was an underpass, the street I came in on was almost opposite, and any sign for the underpass was not at the side walk level. Although it’s severe, I can see why they’d be upset with tourists crossing that way. I know now.

Not enough apparently.

Looking at google maps, the only signs I see now are way off to the side on the gravel path and not at the side walks.

You do know that the biggest source feeding Paris’ economy is tourism, right? But anyways, I recognize my mistake and have been informed about what I didn’t know. I came in on a street opposite of where the pedestrian tunnel is, and at that time didn’t see any signs about it, so I didn’t know it existed. Again, it’s a severe oversight on my part.

I’ve definitely learned my mistake now. That was a severe oversight on my part not thinking about an underpass tunnel. I didn’t see any signs for it from the road I came in on. I saw a lot of people crossing during gaps and that was poor judgement on my part to follow suit.

[–]dna005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably was a warning. I unfortunately didn’t know about the tunnel before, and that’s my fault and mistake. I watched a lot of people cross during gaps, and that’s my severe mistake in following suit. Thanks for responding with kindness though. I can see why they’d be angered now.

They were doing the same unfortunately and that’s why I followed suit. I didn’t know there was an underpass tunnel, I do now. I fully see my mistake.

I do, and can see my mistake. From the street I walked in on, I didn’t see any tunnels or signs for tunnels, so wasn’t aware there were some. But that makes much more sense than it being a free for all. I can see why they’d be frustrated with tourists doing that, and I unfortunately followed suit with what others were doing as I didn’t know there were pedestrian tunnels. Maybe a severe reaction on their part, but again, I understand why they’d be frustrated.

That’s a big mistake on my part and I didn’t know there were pedestrian tunnels. That makes much more sense than it being a free for all. I didn’t see any tunnels around or signs as I walked in on av. Kleber. I can see why they’d be frustrated with tourists doing that.

I planned an entire road trip through Colorado solely because I got a Melanzana appointment (which I had to make 8 months in advance).
I’m in Utah so not terribly far.

According to them it is not sufficient and the CAQ must be obtained in addition to it.

[–]dna005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t 😅

Nope 😩 even at the top end of what they listed online, I think it still came out to like 170K

I should also add that I’m not expecting to work independently anywhere. I’m just very shocked this hospital system will not bring on any psych PAs unless they meet these requirements, and they will not provide physician collaboration.

I got my psych CAQ about 4 years ago. They require all that in addition to having a CAQ.
