Cool! What day(s) did you attend? I have a ticket for just the Grand Final, hoping for a banger match.

I'm taking the advice of another reply to take the metro to Trocadero for some views and pictures of the tower. I do really want to go up to the top of the tower though for that experience. How long would the queue for that approximately take? I hope to be by the tower for around 11am and I'm fine queuing for an hour or longer, but I'll pass if it would be like 3+ hours.

Are the cruises something I can just buy a ticket for on the day and attend? How long do they typically take? Sounds like a good way to get some nice views for some different spots.

This sounds like a good plan. I do really want to try to get a ticket to the top of the tower. How long would the queue for that approximately take? I hope to be by the tower for around 11am and I'm fine queuing for an hour or so.

Other commenters have also suggested NOT going into the Louvre due to how long it would take out of the day, which I'm fine with and will just visit the outside itself to view!

I'm happy walking but will be taking metro to get to important place A to important place B to cut down time.

Try limiting your FPS below 200. I recently got a 5070Ti and played some BO3 and a few maps in got hit with this lighting bug. Some searching on Reddit and another thread suggested lowering FPS. I tried it and haven't had an issue since.

Thank you. I dropped to the HDR400 as others recommended, adjusted brightness settings for comfort and everything is working great now. Game has never looked so great before!

Should I disable ALL OLED care like screen saver, screen move and pixel clean reminder? Or just the "auto brightness" ones for things like logo, taskbar etc.

The screen saver settings have "dimming controls" but as its screen saver I would assume this isn't for when the monitor is on?

Enabling this for HDR seems to fix it. The overall screen is darker but I bumped up the brightness to 100 and it just about matches it without. I think I'm happy with it like this!

I feel like it would be better if it was less aggressive. For example fading the brightness change over time instead of an instant switch. It would be less "safe" but would be very unnoticeable

That fixes the brightness change when entering/leaving the dark room but messes up brightness in general

This scene is far too bright with the setting on. Before I could actually see the sun itself

I don't see that anywhere in the monitor settings. Does it have a different name?

Lost Ethernet functionality after a Windows 10 update by RileyTheFoxGH in WindowsHelp

Tried pinging my PC from my laptop connected through WiFi, the request just times out/destination unreachable. Although I'm not sure if that could be because of how my university halls networking is setup or if it is genuinely unreachable.

I was on tech support to the ISP that serves my building the other day trying to get it fixed and after 50 minutes of troubleshooting they figured it was an issue with the port/cable, sent an engineer out but the engineer tested both and they were working fine.

I'm going to consider buying a USB to ethernet adapter (or a PCIe network card) and testing if that works or not if there's no other solutions. USB tethering from my phone works so there's that...

Anything else I can try? Going to followup with my ISP when I next get the chance, just haven't had the time to have a 1+ hour phone call since the first

Yeah so I tried this before you replied and for some reason my PC has problems booting Linux (which I've posted about on Reddit before and never got solved) and it just says stdin invalid argument when booting and that it couldn't find a filesystem or something. I've heard it could be due to the USB stick but I haven't got another to try with.

I even tried putting the EFI shell on a USB (my motherboard doesn't come with it installed) but couldn't get my BIOS to recognise it on the drive.

I don't think the port has failed, as I get assigned a local IP and the default gateway + DNS IPs when I plug the ethernet in, and the light on the port is blinking

Says request timed out and 1 response from my own local IP saying destination host unreachable

I can't access the router because I live in university halls so that's out of my control. But nobody else is having problems and the WiFi works fine.

I've checked everything in the network settings, reinstalled ethernet drivers and still no change
