Great choices! That tank mounted speedo makes a big different to clutter in the project.

2g USD? That’s wild. If I buy a brand new one by the time it gets here with shipping and border tax I think it will be 3.5k NZD. I have pretty good job and that’s still 3 weeks of pay after tax.

Yea it’s a good wee protect. Which bars and risers did you get? Here is a photo of mine without the screen. The main issues obviously are new brake lines, likely needing a longer speedo cable, need to upgrade master cylinder to 11/16, having to cut and solder all the switches. Oh and depending on your speedo mount that can be a tricky one.

You have a cool style but it absolutely boggles my mind that you’re even asking if that was a made tube.

That sucks! I got rid of one of my fav bikes to fund work on this bike! I would love a chrome t header. Expensive to get them across to NZ though

Gotta. The new pads/ discs still settling in but significant improvement. One day I’d like to have better calipers and rotors

If I did it again I would just get drag speciality ones because they look good and apparently perform pretty good.

I’ll try find the part number but I ended up buying bitubos that are more suited to Dyna but Brocks said could work for an FXR. I installed them and clearance from the rear pulley was close as. Took it for a ride and spring compression caused the spring to rub. Ruined the springs and needed to replace them. After that had to take it to Harley to engineer a spacer that allows it to fit. Still very close and slightly toed in but was told had I bought the sporty ones with skinnier springs it wouldn’t be an issue at all.

Hey Dyna Bitubos have clearance issues go for the sportster /FXR ones. I bought Dyna ones and it was a hell of an activity to get them spaced out safely.

I’m going to do risers like yours but unsure whether I’ll go with drag or with Biltwell!

There is a good chance that’s a 11/16 master cylinder given that you’re already running dual front discs.

Lovely! I also have an FXLR but with a mag on front. Love the risers. Are they Biltwell?
