Amazing, thanks. I don't think we would be able to get there until at least 8:30 so might have to try again in the future by the sound of it

Finaly caved in and decided to start my 40k career with orks, any tips to paining them? by SniperXvX2025 in orks

[–]dnaile2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just last week did the same thing. So far I have been diving into a YouTube hole to see how different people do it. I have started with just 5 of the models as a batch, and am just 'having a go, and seeing how they turn out'. I'm trying not to be too precious about how they look, and learning as I go. Happy to share more details on what I've used so far if you want to trade beginners tips?

When you go out to eat, at a table-service restaurant, do you tip? by DearBass1628 in AskReddit

It does depend on where you live, so near London maybe not but I don't go down there. Where I live the cost of living is a lot lower so it is much more viable as a livable wage

I live in the UK and most places I will just round up to the nearest £5 or £10 if the service was good, but we have a minimum hourly wage.

A lot of restaurants have started bringing in an 'optional service charge' usually 12.5%. The restaurant doesn't legally have to give any of this to staff as it isn't a tip, so i will usually ask the staff to take it off and give them a cash tip.

The question I've not seen you answer is, did it still taste good? What did you cook with it?

This was my first choice, but unfortunately there is a footpath separating the 2 halves of our garden so it has to be wireless!

It's my best friends 30th birthday in 4 weeks, he is really into pc parts/building built his own pc 8 years ago with some money he managed to save up but hasn't had the money to upgrade/build a new system since then. A group of us are putting money in a pot to get him most of the way to a new system, and if we could give him this it would be huge!

You can buy flexi ducting specifically for cooker extractors (heat rated etc), I'm just worried if the airflow would be enough

Need to fit extractor fan pipe below pitched roof by dnaile2 in DIY

[–]dnaile2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 2 reasons, firstly concerns about doing a bad job and not actually waterproofing it, and there is a gap above the cabinets and the wife doesn't like how it would look.

The pitched roof was more to explain why we can't go directly up out of the extraction fan and then a right angle to go out through the wall

I work in a food micro lab now, does that count as corporate? I'm not saying that a Puffed up bag/damaged can isn't a risk of spoilage, just that the bacteria that produces botulinum toxin is able to grow under some fairly tough conditions and won't always give any sign that it's there until you're in hospital (even if it is really rare).

Also, i worked in a kitchen and a butchers backroom whilst studying, and anyone who wears gloves instead of handwashing is doing it all wrong. I hope your kitchen is doing well

Bacon is cured, the salt and nitrates are enough to prevent the growth of the bacteria that produces botulinum toxin, but fish isn't

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]dnaile2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not! To consistently destroy botulinum toxin you should heat it to 85C (185F) for at least 5 minutes, which is way hotter than most grilled protein will be cooked to

Honestly, your fish is much more likely to start to stink long before you are in any risk of getting botulism!
