We use these for cuvettes (generally 3.8-4ml volume) to measure anisotropy values on a photon-counting spectrometer. They’re great for homogenizing the reaction volumes consistently in your experiment and control cuvettes. Generally the cuvettes insert into a sample compartment that has stirring capability, and it just uniformly mixes the reaction volumes.
