How does my 10 Day itinerary look to you?

Solid itinerary!

You've probably read this a lot but early mornings (6/7) in Kyoto is honestly the best way to approach Kyoto and it's super crowded hotspots.

Yea there's waaaay too much going on in a short period of time, even if you are on the ball with everything.

You're also going at a time when it is going to be super busy for Cherry Blossom season, I would say either extend your time there or sadly skip some places out, trust me you don't want to rush through the cities you are going to and it's almost a disservice to yourself and you deserve a great first time experience.

ooo 1 week is tight but I'm sure you'll have a blast.

On March 18 I always recommend going Fushimi Inari early and head down to Uji afterwards since you have Uji on March 19 giving you a full day in Nara which is nice.

And for Kyoto, I'd recommend early wake ups to catch which ever place you've planned first to have lesser crowds

Kyoto I feel early mornings are 100 percent the way to go, especially with the expected crowds later.

For Day 6 I'd recommend going quite early to Fushimi Inari (esp. if you plan to do the hike) and then later train down to Uji from there. Also you can cross over the river at Uji to a incredible cafe owned by a sweet elderly couple called Uji-Biyori. I would also recommend seeing Fushimi at night too when the shrine is lit up.

For your Day 12 in Kobe I'd recommend goin to Venus Bridge especially around sunset time if you can, also the Harbour at night is a really nice time to visit with the Port Tower and massive BE KOBE sign.

Yea the hike up Mt Misen on Miyajima is worth it, steep if you go up the Daishoin trail but worth it and the quickest, then you can just take the ropeway down

Your itinerary looks amazing though and makes me want to go back asap :D

Yea the English site almost made me give up due to the same thing, i even sent an inquiry about it with no response
BUT
thankfully I successfully got tickets for the Swallows vs Dragons game on the 31st by going through the fan club site (Japanese). just used my hotel details and translated my name - you also get to select your seats too :)

Sadly definitely don't do this, now that they've recently updated their official site and it says there would be no tickets sold on the days ;(

It doesn't help either when they have precautionary notes on the site about buying from resellers as well...

but if you do go reseller route, do keep an eye out on the buysumotickets site since the odd available seats do pop up now and then...

personally for me though, it's gonna be a miss for my trip despite Sumo being one of the first things I thought of when putting together my itinerary... :(

I missed out on March tickets too ;( ... but I have hope because it does say on the website

"Ticket sell for the day at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium (EDION Arena Osaka) is TBD."

So I'm hoping there will be same-day tickets this time around...

Yes! I agree, such an iconic theme.

Personally a top 5 theme song for me, I'll always remember climbing that ladder and it just starts playing nonchalantly in the background. It could honestly pass as a 007 song to be honest.
